“Now that the blood has returned to my head, why are you home so early?” he asked as they climbed freshly showered into bed. “You weren’t scheduled to be home until the weekend.”

“That bank was a joke,” Sable said. “I stole a million dollars’ worth of stuff from their safe deposit boxes withouteven trying. After Peter and I showed the manager proof of how easily his security defenses were breached, he cleared his schedule, and we worked until the issues were resolved. Theentirejob was practically over before it began, so I switched my flight.”

“I’m not complaining about the extra days with you.” Cash kissed her forehead and pulled her bare body against his. “One of these days, I’ll have to take vacation time and come on a jobwith you. I feel like watching you rob these banks blind would turn me on so much.”

“Watching me make coffee turns you on.” She pinched his abs, and he flinched before catching her roaming hands.

“And?” He pinned her wrist over his heart. “Would you prefer I stared at you without appreciation?”

“Hell no,” she giggled, biting his shoulder since she couldn’t use her hands.

“Exactly.” He glared at her with exaggerated annoyance. “Plus, I seethe wayyou inappropriately look at me when I mow the lawn. I’m not the only one walking around with hearts in their eyes.”

“You mow shirtless with your pants hanging low on your hips. It’s not fair. I see you working, and all I can think about is having your babies.”

“You want to have my babies?” Cash asked, feigning mock surprise.

“You already know I do. We’ve had the kids talk.”

“Well then, let’s get to it,” he teased, flipping her onto her back as she squealed and making her freshly showered body dirty all over again.

“Morning, Dad,” Clover said from his seat at the kitchen island. He wascurrentlyshoveling scrambled eggs into his mouth, and Cash had to fight the urge to tell him for the one-millionth time to chew his food. Cash was a giant of a Fae male, and his son was already following in his footsteps. It was a good thingbothhe and Sable had well-paying jobs because Clover was fixing to eat them out of house and home.

“Morning.” Cash kissed his son’s head and then moved for thecoffeepotwhere the love of his lifecurrently stood eating a piece of toast. She was wearing his shirt and shorts, which wasone of his favorite outfits, and she held a slice of buttered toast in one hand and a cup of coffee in another.

“How did you sleep?” he asked, planting a kiss onher lips before grabbing a mug.

“Good,” she answered. “Not long enough, though.”

“That would be my fault,” he whispered with a wink.

“I know.” She smiled conspiratorially. “You are such a bad boy.”

“Careful, Mrs.” He slapped her ass before spooning some eggs onto a plate. “I have to go to work.”

“You two are gross,” Clover said with an expression that said he was both embarrassed by his father’s romance and thrilled by the love that filled their house.

“Then eat your breakfast and don’t watch me kiss Sable,” Cash teased. “I’mactuallyrunning late, so we got to get moving if I’m going to drive you to school before my shift.”

“Sable’s taking me,” Clover said.

“I knew you would be tired, so I let you sleep,” Sable said. “I’ll drive him.”

“And she’s picking me up,” Clover said.

“I see how it is,” Cash said. “Sable gets home, and dear ole dad is chopped liver.”

“Pretty much,” Clover and Sable said in unison.

Cash rolled his eyes as he grabbed his son’s head and pulled him in for a kiss. “Okay, I know when I’m not wanted. You two have fun, but you better be ready to hang out with me when I get home for dinner.”

“Making scrambled eggs is all the cooking I plan on doing today,” Sable said. “Wanna pick up a pizza on your way home?”

“Do I want to pick up a pizza?” Cash asked as he and his son exchanged a smirk. “What, is she new here?”

“Okay, okay, you two!” Sable wrapped her arms around Cash’s shoulders. “You guys need me to eat healthy.”

“You mean like a rabbit?” Clover giggled, and Sable playfully flicked his ear.
