I had just finished setting up the electrical elements of the miniature. It allowed windows to light up automatically at night. The timer also included a randomizer so that not all windows would turn on or off at the same time, creating the illusion that real people on varied schedules inhabited that street. That worked perfectly, as did the lighting up the ‘gas’ lamp posts lining the street. However, as I stood there chewing my bottom lip, I pondered about adding the occasional flicker to one or two of them. But this would require additional electrical work that I didn’t think was worth the hassle or the risk involved, especially so close to the deadline.

“Stop chewing your mouth. That’s my job,” Vazul grumbled before pulling on my bottom lip.

I snorted and made a face at him.

“I’m thinking,” I said.

“Well think with your head, not with your mouth. What are you torturing yourself over this time?” he asked.

“I’m debating whether it’s worth adding a flicker to some of the lamp posts or devote time to adding some fog on the ground,” I said pensively. “The flicker wouldn’t be that complicated, but every electrical component only increases the risks of some random malfunction at the worst possible time. As for the fog, in order for the owner to be able to trigger it at will, I would need some built in humidifier. But that could cause mold or other issues in the long run, especially with the electrical components for the lights.”

“Then use magic,” Vazul countered in a self-evident manner. “There are plenty of low-level spells that can create those illusions. Just place invisible runes activated by basic words of power. People won’t even need magic to make them work. To them, it will be no different than any other voice-activated equipment that they have. You could even have ghostly figures crossing the street or appearing in random places once night falls.”

My eyes widened, and I stared at him in shock to have him describe exactly the thing I wished I could have added but crossed out of my realistic accomplishment list.

He chuckled. “Stop being so shocked. I can see what you want. How do you think I managed to polish your creations exactly to your vision? Just add them. It will make your masterpiece complete.”

“But I don’t know those spells,” I said sheepishly.

“Then learn them,” he snarled, unimpressed. “There are very basic spells that you can master in a couple of hours.”

“Is that even ethical?” I asked, shifting uneasily on my feet.

He huffed. “Angelique’s collection is entirely built using magic, and not even her own. If that was a problem, she would have been called out for it a long time ago. At the end of the day, the only rules are that you own all the rights to your collection, that they meet the basic quality levels, and that they are safe for the public. You meet all of those requirements. So get going.”

I started chewing my bottom lip again, my nerves getting the best of me as my back tensed. He was right. They were the type of low-level spells that I could easily master if I put my mind to it. But I was feeling overwhelmed at the thought of everything I wanted to do with the clock ticking.

I yelped when Vazul suddenly pressed his chest against my back and slipped a hand under the waistband of my skirt. His fingers immediately went for my clit and started rubbing it.

“What are you doing?!” I exclaimed, even as a bolt of lust exploded in the pit of my stomach.

“You tense too much over minor things. I’m helping you relax,” he said nonchalantly.

“You can’t do that!”

“Obviously, I can,” he deadpanned, two fingers dipping inside of me as his thumb continued to massage my clit. He snuck his left hand under my shirt to grab my breast. “And clearly, I am.”

“Clearly. But how am I supposed to focus?” I said in a disapproving tone belied by my legs spreading with a will of their own to give him better access.

“You figure it out. It is your job to do the thinking. Mine is doing. And right now, I want to doyou,” he purred before brushing his fangs over the side of my neck.

“Vazul!” I protested in the weakest and most pathetic way, my inner walls throbbing in anticipation.

The sound of the doorbell ringing nearly had me jumping out of my skin. The string of curse words that tumbled out of my demon’s mouth echoed the ones racing through my mind. Who the hell wanted to be disturbed by a random visitor just when they were getting fingered by their sex demon, who would soon thereafter fuck them to oblivion?

With much reluctance, I freed myself of my lover’s naughty touch, adjusted my clothes, and headed out of the room. It suddenly struck me that it was likely the delivery of the additional material I ordered at the last minute. I would get those in the house quickly before rushing back to Vazul so that he could properly wreck me.

My cheeks wanted to burn with embarrassment that I should have turned into such a sex starved maniac since he entered my life. But you only lived once. Not enjoying my Liderc to the fullest extent would not only be a crime against humanity but would also make me a dreadful Mistress. After all, he’d only recently hatched and needed to be properly fed. Who was I to deny him such basic needs?

I cackled softly at the shamelessness with which I tried to justify embracing the inner tramp that I’d stupidly repressed for far too long.

No, not repressed. It hadn’t found the right partner to be able to be set free.

That sudden realization struck me hard. I wasn’t just acting up because some freaky underworld being had entered my life. I was finally letting my guard down and exploring the part of me that I never would have exposed to others before. Not because there was anything wrong with it, but because I never would have felt as safe with anyone other than with my demon. I couldn’t read emotions the way he did, and yet I knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that he never judged me or condemned any thought or desire I might have.

He accepted me just the way I was. That he pushed me to work on my shortcomings wasn’t a negative judgment about me. As he himself said, Vazul wanted me to achieve my full potential, and that required some work.

With him, I felt like even the sky wasn’t the limit. So long as I put my heart into it, I could achieve my goals with him always standing by, ready to catch me should I ever stumble along the way.
