He always comes first. That is the promise.
Wren heaves a long painful sigh before running a hand through his long blond hair. His fingers catch on a tangle, and it startles him.
She’s already changing him.
And it terrifies him.
But a deeper part recognizes that he has already half-way fallen for her.
I have to take her away, but it won’t be forever.
She will return.
She has to.
Wren stands still in crippling and debilitating agony as he allows his emotions to flood him. This is the last thing he wants to do.
But she agreed, it’s for the best. Vinny will come for her here. I can take her somewhere safer.
That’s what pushes his decision forward.
She will be safer if I take her away.
It is that thought alone that allows him to solidify his intent.
With his feet unfrozen, he allows them to take him to the omega.
My Omega.

Vinny
Vinny stares down at the destroyed car below. It takes everything in him to not jump down after it. He had put a tracker on it a year ago. As soon as the roads were clear enough to drive, he had followed it here. It had driven him nearly mad when the signal didn’t move during the snow.
He hoped that meant she was safe. That she had found a place to ride out the snow.
Never did he suspectthis.
“It’s hers,” he bites out, clutching his heart.
Concern, anger, crippling agony. They cycle through him as his world shatters. His plans. His future. His omega.
“It’s their fault. She was at their house right before this. We are going to kill them. All of them.” He couldn’t understand why she was here. Unless they knew her connection to him. Unless Charles’s fathers lured her here to use her against him.
She is a Rossi, after all. Because of my fucking brother. He made her one, even knowing the danger it would put her in.
“Sir, one of them is a Stellar,” Marco advises.
Vinny turns to face him, his vision blurring. His mind unravels. “I am more than aware! That’s why we let them live, and look what that has caused! They went after a Rossi! We will kill all three of them! They took her from me!”
Vinny doesn’t wait for a response before marching back to the truck. He gets in the passenger seat, opening the glove box and pulling out a few clips.
Rocco is driving and he tosses one into his lap.
“Get ready for a blood bath. We aren’t leaving until all three in this pack are dead. And if we can find Charles tucked away here, even better.”
Vinny doesn’t look too closely at the emotions cycling through him, he focuses everything on his intent. On the rage that burns deep in his gut.
