I sent a horrified look in his direction. “You’d kill them?”
“No, nothing like that. But if they ever dine at one of my restaurants, I’ll charge them for the bread or have a waiter spill wine on them. Or when they die, I’ll give them an insufferable job like mopping the floors or wearing the giant mouse costume at theChuck E Cheeseon the Eighth Layer.”
“Is that all?” I laughed. “Wine stains and overpriced bread?”
“For the men who didn’t know that you were already taken, yes. Now for someone like Abaddon, that’s a whole different ball game.”
My eyes widened. “What did you have planned for him?”
“Not much more than you didn’t already beat me to. Which still gets me hard thinking about it.” His member twitched in my hands as if to prove his point.
“I have to say, you’re not very devil-like Lucifer Morningstar. At least, you’re nothing like what everyone has imagined for the last few thousand years.” I pulled my hand out from under his and crawled up between his thighs. “But they got one thing right...” My voice dripped with desire as I brought my mouth to the tip of him. I enjoyed the way his breath shuddered as I ran the point of my tongue up the length of his shaft.
“And what’s that?”
“That you’re a huge pervert.”
He laughed as his fingers knotted in my hair, watching my mouth like it was the most hypnotic thing he’d ever seen. “Says the woman with her lips pressed against Satan’s dick.”
I tasted the little bead of arousal that gathered at the tip of his cock. A purr-like growl rattled from his chest, pulling my gaze up to meet his. I opened my mouth, a similar purr tumbling from me. I knew it was our beasts, speaking to one another in a way not our own. Lucifer almost looked taken aback for a second. “Jessica. Remember the memory I showed you when I claimed you the first time on the Second Circle?”
My body pulsated with raw hunger at the memory of that night when I’d fallen from the construction platform, and had gotten tangled up in the ropes. It had been that moment that Lucifer chose to claim me for the first time. It had been painful, a little bloody, and despite that, damn near perfect. “I remember.”
“You have to know that my spirit was more in control that night than I was. And for a moment, he came out yesterday when I took you in the museum on the Seventh Circle.”
I peeked up at him through my screen of blonde hair and smirked, gathering the gist of what he was getting at. “I liked it rough back then.”
“And now?”
My beast let loose a violent purr, and in response, Lucifer’s amber eyes filled with desire as his mate called to his. “I’ve changed in a lot of ways since you knew me last.A lot.But that part hasn’t changed. I may be human now, but I’m still the demon queen. And I can take it however my king wants to give it to me.”
My skin heated under the way he was looking at me now, like I was something to be eaten. Lucifer and I were a good match for several reasons. We could both laugh at stupid shit, but on the flip side of that, we could keep the other on their toes. He could see right through me, and I could see right through him. And now, with all my memories back, I trusted what I had seen the moment I stepped into Siren’s and made Satan a cosmo.
That he would go through hell for me, and I for him. And as it so happened, we had both done that already.
And my favorite thing of all: he could reign over my body with all the strength and prowess he used to rule Hell.
His smile twisted into something sinisterly seductive. “It’s not going to be like it was with your frat boys, Kitten. I may have only had one woman, but I know how to play that woman like a damn fiddle. And I’ve had years to imagine this moment and just how much I’d dominate that tight little body of yours once I got my hands back on it.”
His words slithered through me, sinking straight through my already soaking core. “How do you want to fuck me?”
“In every single way man or beast has ever conceived. But right now, let’s start with you laying down on your back. Spread your legs for me, and show me what belongs to me.”
Flipping onto my back, I began to lay down but stopped when I caught Lucifer’s expression. “Bare yourself to me, Kitten. I want to see all of you.”
I peeled the silk nightgown off in one tug and threw it to the floor. Leaning back, I propped myself up on my elbows and let my legs fall open.
His hungry gaze roved down the length of my body like a creature in heat that hadn’t known the touch of a mate in years. He purred his approval, his fingertips grazing the interior of my thigh, slipping down to where his mark blessed my skin.
“Do all shifters mark their mate with a satanic crest?” I grinned mischievously, already knowing the answer.
“Only me. We could settle for the go-to bite mark or, even more boring yet, my scent. But where’s the fun in that?” He brought his lips down upon the mark and kissed it with a tenderness that caught me off guard. “Do you know what it means?”
“It’s your name,” I answered in a tremulous whisper.
He settled between my thighs and glanced up at me with his mouth so close to my opening, his breath tickled it. “I can remove it if you find it too crude.”
“No, I like it there.” Honestly, I’m surprised I didn’t have more tattoos. I was totally that kind of girl. I loved the idea of covering my body with cool art that would make old people stare. But maybe my beast knew that my first one was always supposed to be this one.
