I was also a little disappointed he didn’t push me harder.

If I override the lock-out, he’ll realize that’s what I did and figure out how to reprogram it. Then I’m fucked, unless I can get EPU—who always needs the master override code—to give me the new code.

I stare at my phone, and while I’m looking at the motion detector section, I see another hit, this time downstairs, to his office. As I watch, he heads back upstairs a couple of minutes later, to the main level, to the kitchen. From there through the living room, upstairs, and then everything settles.

I don’t want an argument with him tonight. I set his alarm system and head back upstairs to my bedroom, where I strip and slide into bed with Declan.

In sleep, he snuggles against me, spooning around me.

Damn, I’ve fucking missed him.

I don’t want to fuck up his life.

That means I need to figure this shit out.
