“I’d love to take credit for your amazing athleticism, but that would be a stretch, Mav. I’ll accept that I was a wonderful incentive for you to return home faster though.” He leaned closer and whispered in my ear. “I think I have something to incentivize you to return home faster tonight too.”

“Yeah?”

“Oh yeah.” He pulled his hand out of mine and began running toward home. I gave a short bark of laughter before I started to run after him. Madge followed along barking and bouncing playfully at her dads.

Noah ran around the front of the house and came to a screeching halt when he found a man and a woman standing on our front porch. They seemed startled by his appearance and even more so when me and Madge ran up the steps quick on his heels.

“Um, can I help you?” I asked. I didn’t want to buy anything they might be selling, but I did want to take advantage of everything Noah had to offer me.

They both looked at us with disapproving looks before the man opened his mouth to speak. “We live across the street.” I would’ve offered my hand to shake his, but it was obvious it wouldn’t be accepted. He looked at the woman, who I assumed was his wife; she nodded for him to continue. “We’ve come by to ask you nicely to stop flagrantly exposing our children to your lifestyle.”

“Excuse me,” I said, moving closer to Noah. “Just what are we flagrantly exposing to anyone?”

“Listen,” Mr. Sour Face said defensively. “I’m not homophobic, but…”

“This oughta be good, Mav,” Noah said, interrupting the jackass. We both knew whatever he said was guaranteed to be a homophobic statement.

“…I’d appreciate it if you could stop kissing and holding hands in public,” the guy continued on. “Just how am I supposed to explain the two of you to my children?”

“Why don’t you try explaining to your children that some people are born loving the same sex and that it’s not wrong. Or, how about telling them that they should be so lucky to find someone they love as much as I love Noah.” I never raised my voice, but my words were firm and unyielding. “The way I see it, sir, is that if you can hold hands with your wife then I can hold hands with my boyfriend.”

“I think we’re done here folks,” Noah added. “We mind our own business and I suggest you mind your own.”

“How’s it going, folks?” Another voice joined the mix as our neighbor Willis headed across our yards. I liked the man the first time I met him and enjoyed chatting with him since. I was going to be really disappointed if he came to join the anti-gay bandwagon. “Did Missy and Mark come over and bring you an apple pie to welcome you to the neighborhood like they did when I moved in?” I detected more than a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

“No, sir.” Noah responded. “Mark and Missy stopped over and asked us to stop holding hands and kissing each other goodbye in the driveway in the mornings. They’re afraid we’re scaring their kids.”

“Huh,” Willis replied. “Seems to me it’s not really your business is it?” He asked them. “I spend a lot of my time on my front porch or sitting in front of the picture window in my living room since I’m an old man. I see all kinds of things in this neighborhood,” he said, pinning the intruders with narrowed eyes. “Just imagine if I went knocking door to door to address the odd things I see happening in their homes.” Mark and Missy started to look a little worried about what Willis might’ve seen. “These two guys aren’t bothering anybody, so maybe you should take your busybody ways back to your own house before you give me ideas that this kind of behavior is acceptable and encouraged.”

Missy and Mark didn’t say another word as they scrambled off our porch and headed back across the street to their home. I looked at Noah and we both shrugged our shoulders at the same time before we looked back at Willis.

“They have no room to criticize anyone,” he said as he watched them retreat. “I don’t mean to talk bad about anybody, but until either one of them can learn to be faithful to one another then they better just keep their mouths shut.” He realized what he said and then looked embarrassed. “Forgive me, fellas. I didn’t mean to gossip like that. I am a better man than that. I just can’t stand hypocrites.”

“Don’t worry, Willis,” Noah said. “We won’t tell anyone. Say, was her pie any good. Did we miss out?”

“Hell no,” he said with a dramatic shake of his head. “Not even my dog Trixie would eat that goopy, slimy shit.” He smiled when Noah and I burst into laughter. “You fellas have a good night.”

“You too,” Noah and I said in unison.

“Well, it’s good to know that I have eyes on the place when I’m not around,” Noah said once we were inside the house. “You better watch yourself.”

“You’ve got nothing to worry about, Doc.” I pulled him to me for a kiss. “What were you teasing me about on the beach? Something about an incentive?”

I was interrupted by a phone call, which happened to be the league president of the baseball organization. He provided me with the information about the online and in-person classes I had to take and that the classes started the next week. Until then, he would let my team practice with his and he’d make sure that he had substitute coaches for the few games that I missed.

When I was done, I went in search of my man. Madge was lying outside the bathroom door so I knew exactly where he was, because she was never far away from Noah if she could help it. “Cover your ears, girl. The daddies are about to get loud.”

I expected to find Noah in the shower, but instead he was lounging in the big claw-footed tub. Candles were lit all around the room and the scent of vanilla floated through the air. I didn’t wait to be invited before I started stripping off my clothes. Besides, the look in his eyes was the only invitation I needed. I held up the lube and condoms he had set near the tub.

“Someone is feeling awfully damn sure of themselves, aren’t they?” My question was met with a cocky grin as I set the condoms and lube back down and slid into the water on the opposite side of the tub. I picked up his feet and put them in my lap, massaging them. “I’m a sure bet, Doc.”

“Why are you sitting all the way over there?” Noah asked. I dug my thumbs into his arches and he moaned loudly before saying, “Okay, you can stay there for a little while.”

It wasn’t long before I slid over and straddled Noah’s hips. I wasn’t convinced that condoms and lube would work well in the bathtub, but lost my train of thought once our dicks were grinding together. At that point, I was willing to try anything.

I loved the wet glide of skin against skin as we touched each other everywhere. Our mingled moans and the water splashing against the tub and over the sides were the only sounds in the room as Noah and I made love to each other. I was grateful for the large size of the tub as I seated myself on Noah’s condom-covered dick. I reached over his shoulders and held onto the edge of the tub and rode him until we were both out of our minds with the need to come.

Noah raised his lips for a kiss and I eagerly accepted his offering. He slipped his hand between our bodies and began to work my cock up and down. The teasing feel of his knuckles against my abs heightened my pleasure. I was so close, but I held off because I wanted us to come together. I felt his dick swell even more inside me and knew he was just as close. I slid my hands in his hair and tugged his head back further so I could deepen our kiss. Noah shivered and groaned in my mouth at my aggressive display.

I relaxed and let myself come as soon as I felt Noah’s first jerk of his orgasm in my ass. Noah ripped his mouth from mine and looked up at me with unfocused eyes filled with so much pleasure. I kept riding him until we surrendered everything we had to each other.

I moved to rise off of him, fearing that I was too heavy, but he pulled me back down. “Not yet,” he mumbled sleepily. “Stay.” It didn’t take much encouragement for me to rest against him in the circle of his arms. After all, there was no place in the world I’d rather be.
