“Tonight.”

Madison closed her door and went to see what she was going to wear when her doorbell rang. She ran to the door thinking Dante had come back. “Did you forget your key—”

It wasn’t Dante, but Sabrina. From the look on Sabrina’s face, she was sure she had seen Dante leave her place.

“Sabrina, hey.”

“Hey. I came here to apologize for thinking you were sleeping with Dante and for seeing Henry and not telling you, but it looks like you were fucking Dante for the top spot.”

It was as if Madison had been slapped with the bitterness in Sabrina’s voice.

“I did not. Dante and I got together after I became the headliner.”

“Why didn’t you tell me when I asked you?”

“Why didn’t you tell me you were seeing Henry when I asked you?”

Guilt and something else flickered across Sabrina’s face. “It was new, and we wanted to keep it private.”

“It was the same with Dante and me. We are still keeping it private, so please don’t tell anyone at the club.”

“Why don’t you want people to know?”

“Because I don’t want it to cause problems with the customers. Eric will think he can do what he wants. Besides, we don’t think it’s that important for the staff to need to know.”

“The staff already thinks something is going on between you guys.”

“And that’s fine. They will figure it out when they figure it out.” Madison looked at her watch. “Sorry I can’t catch up with you more. Dante is taking me out tonight. I’ll see you tomorrow. Maybe we can set up a time to chat.”

“Yeah, I guess we could.” Sabrina turned and left.

Madison showered and used her favorite body scrub. Because of the time she spent with Sabrina, she wasn’t able to soak in the tub like she wanted but the shower and shower gel would do the trick. She rubbed lotion on her body and slipped into a blue dress. It was midnight blue, close to black. It was something she had designed herself.

She picked out some nude pumps when Dante walked in. He had on a suit and again, he looked amazing in it.

“You look beautiful; maybe we’ll stay in tonight.”

“Thank you. You look handsome. I love seeing you in a suit and tie, but I think you look hot in anything you wear.”

Dante pulled her close and his hands ran up and down her body and he stopped at her breasts. “What’s this?”

“Oh, just my ID card and some cash.”

He looked down at her clutch. “Why don’t you put it in there?”

“These bags are small, plus they are there for show versus functionality. I like to build a hidden pocket into all my creations. It’s like a hidden surprise for the customer.”

“Is it always in the same place?”

“No, I move it around depending on what the design is.”

“Clever. Your own little guessing game for the consumer.”

“Yep. Let me finish my makeup, and then I’m ready.” Madison walked off to the bathroom and could feel Dante’s eyes on her and she added an extra sway to her hips. She could swear he had groaned. Teasing would do him good.

Madison finished up her eyes and then painted her lips a warm red color. She left the bathroom. “Ok, I’m ready.”
