Leaning down, I rub my nose against his, my heart feeling light, and full, and happy.

“Unless you think you’re not up to it,” I tease. “How old are you, anyway?”

He snaps his teeth at me playfully. “I’m thirty-two, and I’m pretty sure I can fuck you more than enough to keep you happy, little spoon.”

My squeal trails off into laughter as he rolls us back over, his mouth moving across my skin until my laughter trails off into trembling moans.

More than enough, indeed.

I’m humming as I pour myself a glass of water in the kitchen. My hair trails down my back in tangled wet curls that will be a nightmare to comb out, but I can’t bring myself to move as I sit down at the table, sipping from my glass.

It turns out that Axel is very focused on keeping his promises.

Veryfocused.

My fingers tangle in the edges of Axel’s shirt, stolen from his closet. It smells even better than his sweatshirt.

“Well, hello there.”

Swivelling, I offer a smile to Nate. His eyes linger on my bare feet, traveling up my body and taking in Axel’s shirt with a low whistle.

“You look damn good in our clothes, kitten.”

He strolls forward, dropping into the chair next to me and leaning his arm across the back of my chair. Then he pauses, his nostrils flaring as he takes a deep breath. He turns to face me, his eyes lingering on my face.

“All okay?” he asks.

I swallow down my embarrassment that apparently, everyone in this apartment will know that Axel and I did the dirty because I’m smothered in his scent.

“Fine,” I whisper, then I panic that it sounds like I hated it. “It was lovely.”

“Just lovely?”

“He was… very good.”

Oh, god. Blood rushes to my face as Nate throws his head back with a roar of laughter.

“Very good?” he leans in closer, his scent tickling at my nose. “Surely we can do better than that, kitten.”

I’m saved from further blushes by Axel entering the kitchen. He swats Nate on the back of the head as he passes, his hand cupping the back of my neck possessively as he gives me a long, lingering kiss.

“Well, now I’m jealous,” Nate complains good-naturedly before he jumps up.

“Wait – I actually meant to show you something.”

Axel strokes his thumb across my skin as Nate comes skidding back in, holding an envelope.

“Juan sent the photos over,” he says, wiggling his eyebrows. “I wanted to wait for you before we looked at them.”

My heart thumps inside my chest as I stare at the innocuous brown envelope. It feels like ages ago instead of just a few days, memories of Nate and I curled up on the bed making my chest pound.

Nate slides it open, spreading the photos out on the table as Axel and I both lean in to get a closer look.

My breath catches in my throat.

“Oh, I want this one on my wall.” Nate picks up a photo of the two of us. My back is curled over Nate’s arm and he’s holding me up, my leg hitched around his waist.
