“I will always come back, but I know there’ll come a time when you see who I am. And Evie, you’re not gonna stay.”

She slowly turned and looked at him, and he looked back at her. She gripped his hand and her gaze melted from focused to tender. She whispered like a sweet butterfly landing on his torn soul, “Wait.”

His eyes grew tight as she felt her fingers on his hand delicately. She whispered again, “Just wait, my darling. I’ve prayed my whole life for someone like you. So, no matter what your life throws at you, I’m not leaving. Just wait, you’ll see.”

Her eyes. It was those bedroom eyes again. His heart raced seeing her so soft looking. So docile and beautiful. Her lips almost seemed to pout, but they always naturally looked like that. Her hair framed herface, and with her weight loss, it made her eyes all the bigger and more expressive.

He looked back to the road and saw an emergency turnaround that was used strictly for emergency vehicles or the highway patrol units. Still keeping his eyes focused on the road as he shifted in his seat, he asked, “Is Teddy gonna be okay?”

“Yeah, Joshua and Sarah texted and said they’d feed him tonight and tomorrow if I had to stay overnight.”

Caleb downshifted hard and took an aggressive turn into the gravel passthrough. Immediately, they drifted, and Evie yelped hard holding on to the handle above the window. “Caleb, what the hell are you doing?”

“Something I should’ve done a long time ago.”

“No, seriously. Where are we going? Why are we turning around?”

Not too long after, he was going back in the opposite direction and took the exit for Eagle Rock Lake. Still holding on, Evie looked around in panic. “Why are we going to Eagle Rock Lake?”

“I can’t tell you. But I promise I’m not gonna hurt you. It’s a surprise. Trust me?”

She let go of the handle. “I trust you.”

Twenty minutes later, Caleb pulled into the parking lot of the Eagle Rock Inn. It was a secluded motel that was nestled off of the highway and had a pristine view of the lake surrounded by pine trees and some that were nothing but wiry branches. Its little yellow sign lit up to showcase vacancies, boats for rent, and the enticing offer of color TV and cold beer. The moonlight danced like ripples of lost souls on the partially frozen black water. The fog had cleared.

He parked the truck, and in the quiet they both stared forward at the doors of the inn. Then, they slowly looked at one another.

Caleb Wright had had enough of waiting.

After checking in and with the room keycard shoved in his back denim pocket, they walked out on the poorly lit sidewalk to their room. Evie looked up at his rounded shoulders draped snuggly with his company’s sweater, his hair fluffy and tempting. She could stand it no longer.

She pulled him by the hand up against her body, and he instinctively followed her passion and took her. Caleb pinned her to the wall andkissed her furiously. As their bodies glided against one another, she reached her weak hands across the strength of his chest, letting his moans come hot to her starved lips. Their breaths escaped once more as Caleb dipped down, grabbed her by the ass, and lifted her to the wall. A river of pleasure flooded her blood and skin, and so she wrapped her legs around him. His hands squeezing hard into her made her cry with excitement. Caleb then leaned over, enshrouding her with his height, and lifted her higher to kiss her throat with unbridled affection.

She wanted to scream and release all of her life’s trauma into him. He had broken her chains, then had accidentally broken her heart, then broke her loneliness.

He pushed his strong hips between her thighs, and he felt her curl her hips forward as if already ready to take him. A hard yelp raced from her lips in shock. His cock was already hardening through his rugged denim jeans, and it was easy to feel.

“Caleb,” she moaned breathlessly. If she didn’t get him that night, she would never be able to live her life normally. The soaring longing to have him was plagued within her very bones to a lethal ache she couldn’t escape. His sounds surrounded her, his scent was her oxygen, and his mass was her escape.

His teeth raked against the soft skin of her throat, eager to bite, to kiss, to adore, to cherish. Her hair fell around his face and devoured his senses with that rosemary mint shampoo all over again. It drove him insane. How soft and feathery it was, like billions of fine silk feathers tickling his face and nose. The warmth it gave shielded his face from the icy wind.

He whispered to her lips, “I don’t wanna wait for you anymore. I don’t care.”

She trembled and replied, “Neither do I.”

It was so easy for him to hold her now. Even though she was still thicker, Caleb’s strength was rough as he pressed her harder to the wall with his chest. She kissed his chest through his sweater, and upon holding his shoulders, she felt that his muscles were tighter, larger, more pleasurable. She gasped, “Damn, boy.” Her hands slipped down his deltoids and squeezed hard. “How thefuckdid you get so jacked?”

He pulled her from the wall and pressed his forehead to hers. Shelaced her fingers behind his neck and his deep voice came through those rough lips, “Workin’ out.” That was all he said. Plain, to the point. Caleb wasn’t one much for talking when his cock felt like it was going to burst. He pulled her away from the wall and carried her the rest of the way to the door, stumbling a bit with their furious kissing. He tilted his head to the left and let his eyes close to savor her a bit before checking to make sure he’d reached the correct room. Evie hotly kissed his throat, and it rattled his body with desire. Goosebumps shot up all over his back and chest.

With hard force, Caleb pinned her to the door and began fidgeting for his keycard. He looked down to focus a bit and Evie reached up to hold his face and kiss it.

He snarled, fighting with his pocket, “Come on you stupid fucking thing!”

It roused a giggle from Evie. She whispered like that seductress she could be, “Don’t worry, baby. You have all night to fuck me as many times as you need.”

What a personality flip that was. But she couldn’t help it. Evie could be both a longing lover and a sex-starved siren. Caleb was man enough to bring both sides out of her.

“Evie,” he said from within his cavernous chest. He looked into her eyes and told her sternly, “I know men have only fucked you in your life.” The door was open and holding her now with only one hand tucked under her rear, she wrapped her legs tighter, savoring that embrace with how strong he was. He walked inside and shoved the door closed with his butt. He took her over to the bed and slammed her on it, holding her hands down immediately. He grabbed her face and bore his eyes deep into hers. Hers were watering, wide, expressive, and ready to submit.
