“Nigga, it’s been like that. Stay the fuck away, I ain’t gonna tell you again,” I warned him for the last time.
There was never a time when Sony and I were cool. He thought being a son in The Society meant he was royalty and that I would want to be around him like the rest of the niggas that followed him. So when I didn’t, he approached me, thinking I would join him, but I had no interest in that. Because of my father’s involvement, I saw and heard shit about Viper that I didn’t like. How he used people, stepped on them, and then discarded them like trash. That was my biggest fear with myfather and why I wanted him to stop working for Viper. He was useful to him now, but what would happen if one day he wasn’t?
Viper wouldn’t give a fuck and would kill us if he wanted to. That was why I wanted nothing to do with Viper or his damn son. I knew that they would only continue to pressure me, so I chose to leave to put an end to it. But I had never seen Sony as an ally and never will.
I turned my back to him and said, “That goes for your pops too. I’m not the same nigga that left here three years ago, Sony.”
I then turned to face him again. “I’m worse.”
He stood there eyeing me. I could see the anger on his face, and to be honest, I just didn’t give a fuck anymore. I was stupid enough to leave town before because of this pussy ass nigga, but not again. I was here to stay, and it was time he realized that.
With that said, I turned and walked away again.
“The fuck you back here for?!” Sony yelled. I snorted and shook my head.
“Don’t worry, nigga, I don’t want any parts of The Society bullshit. Y’all leave us alone, and I’ll leave y’all alone,” I said, not bothering to turn around to face him again.
As I passed those females on the way back to my car, the same one with the blonde hair looking like Meg Thee Stallion was staring at me. A scowl was on her pretty ass face. As I stared at her, I couldn’t place her face, so I put it down to her probably being one of Sony’s hoes his wife didn’t know about.
Shaking my head at her, I jumped back in my car, hoping Sony listened to me and stayed the fuck away from us.
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
TRINI COLEMAN
“Wait, was that?” Natasha said as we stood there watching Shakur speed away in his car.
Why was he back?
Nobody had seen his face in over three years, and now, he was suddenly back. I didn’t like that shit at all.
I turned to look at Sony and noticed how stressed out he seemed, too, after seeing that Shakur was back.
But why now?
I couldn’t help wondering if it was because of Sincere’s news. My mouth fell when the realization hit me. He was back because he had plans of taking over. It had to be because nothing else made sense.
The way he walked over here like he owned the world and openly challenged Sony, told me that was the reason for his return, and this was something that Havoc needed to know!
“Uh, I need to go,” I said to the girls. Today was an off day, so I came to chill with a few girls I knew through The Society. I wasn’t really feeling coming to sit at the basketball court to watch niggas play ball, but thank God I came, or I would have missed seeing Shakur. I had no idea how long he had been back for, but Havoc needed to know as soon as possible.
As I headed for my car, I watched a series of different emotions play out on Sony’s face. He was beyond stressed. His friends whispering like females didn’t help the situation either. Shakur had clearly issued a warning to SonyandViper right in front of everyone. He wasn’t hiding!
I tried to call Havoc when I jumped in my car and sighed when he didn’t answer. I’d been calling him for a few days now and was getting the same response.
What the hell was he that busy doing?
Thinking I would just talk to him when I got there, I started my car and headed toward his condo.
My mind was on a thousand. I was truly taken aback after seeing that man after so long. He’d definitely changed.
Three years ago, he wasn’t as muscular as he was now.
It took me about thirty minutes to arrive at Havoc’s crib, and I felt relieved when I saw his car was there. I expected him to be home, because he never really went out like that, unless he was with me or Hell, but lately, he seemed to be preoccupied with something, so there was no telling.
“Once I tell him about Shakur, I’m going to ask him what’s going on with him,” I said out loud as I climbed out of my car.
Havoc wasn’t the loudest person, even when he was around us, he didn’t speak that much, but he wasn’t as quiet as he had been lately. That concerned me, and I knew there was something going on with him.
