He slides underneath the thin fabric and I lift my hips, giving him more room. He manages to get one finger inserted in me and curls it. I press my forehead to his as he brushes against my clit. I contemplate just saying fuck it to the world and ripping off my clothes and hopping right on his dick and riding him until the horses go wild thinking there’s a storm.
“One deduction for Team Muscle for hitting mom. I mean Cami.” Dagen’s voice over the loud speaker jolts us and we speedily separate.
“Sunshine! Are you okay?” Vaughan shouts, and it’s followed by anumpfmaking me believe he got hit.
“To be continued later.” Hayes adjusts his erection under his stiff jeans and kisses hastily before running off to his side.
“Hey. You’re my hostage!” I shout after him but he’s out of sight in seconds.
Big feelings are growing bigger and right now, there’s no stopping this freight train.

HAYES
“Bishop loves chocolate chip cookies.” Vivian stares at the ingredients on the counter in front of us, laying her hand on the bag of chocolate chips.
“Then why don’t you just call him? Isn’t it time you four kissed and made up?” I tie the apron around my waist and flip my baseball cap backwards.
Our snowball fight –the one where my team lost– was just the kickoff of our family fun day. While the “youngin’s” were battling for their lives, Mom and Alma were inside prepping all the cookie supplies and making a delicious lunch for us to enjoy.
For the last few years, the McCallan family has held weekend holiday activities leading up to Christmas. We’ve hosted hay rides around the property, took a ride on the Christmas train from here to Dallas, had a full day of cookie making and tasting, and even rented a fake snow machine for our campers and their families to enjoy. It seems like quite a lot, especially when there’s only been one grandchild, but we’ve always tried to make Dagen’s memories the best they can be since losing her mom.
Last year was a mess dealing with Vaughan’s accident and rehabbing him to be healthy again. We were all so focused on his care that our activities fell to the wayside. But this year, our little family has grown exponentially. And instead of just family fun filled days, they’ve turned it into family competitions that result in a winner each day.
I couldn’t think of a better way to spend the holidays. And bonus points for getting to be around Cat. I wanted to punch Vaughan when he divided up the teams and I didn’t end up with her, but the quick tease we had hidden by the hay was worth it.
With a sigh Viv says, “Believe me. I’ve tried talking to Nix. He’s just not having it. I know he’s hurting without his best friend and niece, but he’s bullheaded and stubborn and refuses to be the first one to break.”
I wrap my arm around her shoulders and kiss the top of her head. “We’ll help fix it, Red. Don’t worry.”
She leans her head against my chest and pats my stomach. My eyes wander to where Cat stands, as they always do, and she stares back at me. Atus. Her eyes narrow on my hand over Viv’s shoulder. She knows it’s innocent, but I think she may be jealous over the fact that we still can’t show the type of affection that the other couples do. The only person to blame for that one is her. If I had my way, I would’ve walked into Cami and Vaughan’s wedding wearing a sign that readCathia Villalobos is mine.
“Are everyone’s hands washed and hair pulled back?” Alma stands between the two work areas with the same teams gathered on either side.
Cami and CeCe pass out plastic gloves and we all slip them on. We each have a job to do in the cookie making process. We’re set up sort of like a relay, though the real test will be the tasting judging. Juan and Dad have opted to sit out of this round and so graciously volunteered to be the judges.
Each team decided on a recipe –be it a personal one or found– and that’s what we’ll be making. We went for chocolate peppermint crunch cookies. The recipe looked pretty phenomenal, so I’ll guess we’ll just see what the judges have to say.
“Then let the cookie making begin!” Alma gives the go ahead and we all get to work.
We all patour full bellies and chug down glasses of milk and water. Cookie making proved to be quite exhausting. Dad and Juan just couldn’t decide on a winner, so we all took it upon ourselves to check. We all ended up in agreement that they were both equally as good and in this case speed didn’t matter, so the day ended up in a tie.
“I know we ate all of those cookies, but I kinda want actual food.” Cami rubs her belly as does Vaughan from where they sit on the large chair.
“Honestly, same,” CeCe says.
The rest of us groan with stomachs about to burst, but I guess we can’t really blame them. What’s most surprising is that Vaughan isn’t hungry. He’s always ready to eat.
“I can eat.” Spoke too soon. Vaughan chimes in favor of food.
“Well I don’t think it’s fair for anyone to cook. We had a long day and I think we are all too tired to do one more thing.” Cat looks around and catches my eye.
I could be wrong, but I think I may understand what she’s throwing out.
I sit up tall and clear my throat. “Yeah, I agree. How about I go down to Rusty’s and get a shitload of BBQ? At least with that we can graze. BBQ is great whether hot or cold.”
“Oh my gosh that sounds so good,” Viv groans.
