“Have you decided where you are going to watch from?”

“What do you mean?” I asked her.

“Most of us watch from either the trailers or from the pit,” the shorter woman added.

Law and I hadn’t talked about it and I wasn’t quite sure how to answer because I didn’t know where he would want me tomorrow. An arm wrapped around my waist and I felt at home again. I leaned into Law as he leaned down and placed a kiss on the top of my head.

“What are you ladies talking about?” Law asked as a few of the other men joined their women and the group almost doubled in size.

“Where Anya will be sitting tomorrow,” Chloe spoke up.

“In the pit, of course,” Law said as if I had a choice and then took a sip of his beer.

Chloe and her husband laughed, and I looked around to see everyone else, who were trying to hide their snickers.

“What?”

Law seemed agitated with the question and looks we were getting.

“We’ve just never seen you like this, man,” one of the guys from across the way added in.

“Like what?” Law asked like he was being offended.

“Like you’re in love,” Chloe’s husband answered him.

I looked up at Law, who was staring down at me, and in that moment everyone around us disappeared. There were no drivers, no wives, no friends, just me and Law. He leaned down to place his lips on mine and the crowd around us erupted into cheers.

Law shoved his beer toward any open hand he could find and then picked me up. I wrapped my legs around him as he headed toward the exit of the field.

“I want to be selfish tonight,” Law said against my lips.

“You can always be selfish with me.”
