His hand moved from my breast to my cheek where his thumb grazed across its apple and traced down to my bottom lip. I fought to nibble the pad of his thumb.
“I ravaged you last night. I wanted to treasure you tonight. Treat you like my queen.” He leaned down, lightly planting his lips to mine. “But all I want to do is shove myself deep inside of you, filling you so you know you’re mine.”
I moved my legs to lock around Law’s lower back, making sure to hold him exactly where he was. If he thought he was going to move from this very spot he was sorely mistaken. He might think he wasn’t treating me like a queen, but he had no idea the effect he had on me. I lifted my hips to meet him further, but his free hand moved to my hip, stopping it where it was, not letting me take what I wanted from this situation. I let out a sigh and the words I knew Law needed to hear right now. The words I knew I needed to say because they were the truth. I was Law’s, but he was also mine.
“Law.” I placed a hand on his cheek, forcing him to meet my stare. His eyes were growing darker by the second. This couldn’t wait much longer. “You’re mine.”
His eyes searched mine and it was as if we had spoken unthinkable words. Words that would bind us together forever, ones that put a stamp onto our relationship that I didn’t think either of us was ready for, but it was something we both craved.
His lips crashed into mine and his cock thrust deep inside of me and instead of freezing in pain, I welcomed it by pulling Law down on top of me, crushing me with a weight that wouldn’t be able to dull the pain of my heart come morning. I tightened my legs around Law as his thrusts became more erratic and our mouths fused together in a fury of passion as we tried to solidify anything we could about tonight.
We moved together in unison, both of us trying to reach an end that wasn’t attainable.
Law stayed propped above me, but his hand that was holding me by the hip moved to where I needed him the most, to where he would allow me to reach heights that only he had ever brought me to. His rough thumb grazed over my clit, sending sparks through my whole body. It was sparks, not shivers, because my body wasn’t cold, but the hottest fire I had ever cared to be in. His movements became strategic. Slow circles then fast. Pressing down hard and then moving with no touch at all.
I soon found myself begging for him to let me have my release but not until he was there with me.
“Just a little bit longer.” Law broke our everlasting kiss to whisper in my ear and then his lips were back on me. I lifted up into his embrace, forcing his fingers onto my clit again, and rubbed myself, trying to seek my own satisfaction.
“Greedy.” He chuckled against my lips, but I didn’t respond. My teeth grazed his lower lip and I pulled it before it popped out from between my teeth. Law’s mouth fused again to mine, his fingers making fast work against me with each thrust. He was almost there. I didn’t know how I knew, but I felt it. I felt how connected we were, not just by body, but by soul.
I broke our kiss one final time to scream out into the empty room, while Law groaned into my ear as he came inside of me, pumping out the last of his release. I quaked in his arms, trying to steady my heartbeat, but it was useless. No matter if we were walking in the street or in bed, this man would always have my heart racing. I lay there underneath him as his head rested in the crook of my neck. Our breathing evened out in minutes and when Law finally moved I released him with regret.
He slipped out of my arms and into the bathroom, coming out of the small attached room with a washcloth. He swiped the damp towel over my skin, reviving it back to life with each soft touch. I whimpered into the pillow that I tilted my head into, trying to muffle the sound.
Law chuckled at me and then left the bed again without a word. I rolled over, facing away from the bathroom, and stared at an empty wall. I had never decorated my room, leaving the walls bare except for the crisp white paint. My nightstands were clear except a phone charger and lamp. I tried to live as simple as possible, not understanding or needing any of the extras.
The bed dipped behind me and Law’s arms came wrapped around my waist and cradled him, my back crushed against his chest. His lips came to my ear, planting a soft kiss against it. I relaxed in his embrace and welcomed the sleep that soon took me over.
Because even with what was to come tomorrow, being in Law’s arms right now was all I cared to think about.
-----
I woke with a start, hand grazing over the cold empty spot next to me. I rolled over and sat up in bed, searching for any trace of Law still left in the room. My clothes were folded and placed on top of my dresser. I grabbed for my robe hanging on the back of the bathroom door and rushed into the living room where the morning light had already started to peek through. My bag lay in the hallway, but Law’s was gone.
My heart sped up and a lump started to form in my throat.
He was gone.
I went back to the room to check my phone to see if there was anything, but that’s when I saw the note. On plain white paper folded so perfectly were Law’s last words before he left me to go back home.
I picked up the paper and read.
I couldn’t bear to say goodbye.
I held the paper in the air and could barely see with the light coming in from the living room that there was more on the back. A tear slipped down my cheek as I read the words and knew that the first thought I ever had about Law was more than the truth, it was now my life. When it came to Lawson Kane, I was a goner.
Because we’ll never say goodbye.
