“You could go boring and use your name. Callan’s Electricians, or Callan’s Electrical services.”
“Or my initials.”
Rory yawns. “Even more boring.”
“I bet if you looked up electricians on Google, ninety-nine per cent of them would use that name convention.”
“So be the one per cent that doesn’t.” Rory winks. “Be daring. Think outside of the box. Stand out from the crowd.”
I grimace. “The last time I stood out from the crowd, it didn’t go so well for me.”
Rory’s expression becomes sober. “I’m sorry.”
“Not your fault.”
“Or yours.”
My eyebrow twitches. “I know.”
“Do you?”
I dip my chin and close my eyes. “I’m trying to believe it.” I clear my throat and look up. “There’s a reason I still need counselling. But you’re right. Maybe I should try to stand out.” I scratch my stubble and look at Aidan, sleeping peacefully in his cot. “Little Light Electricians.”
“I like that.”
“I thought about Little Fire for half a second.”
Rory chuckles. “I think that would give the wrong impression.”
“You think?”
“Just a bit.” He rubs my arm. “Little Light is perfect. Did you know Rubin is a graphic designer?”
“No. Being artistic must run in the family.” I frown. “Or not, as they’re not related.”
“Maybe that’s why they were friends before their parents got together—a shared love of art. Anyway, I bet if you asked, he’d design a logo for you.”
“Do you think he would?”
“There’s only one way to find out. Quinn could either give you his number or get in touch with him for you. Or you could wait until he comes to visit Quinn. Or Hendrix.”
I smile. “I’ll do that. Thanks. But not right now.”
“Oh, why not?”
I wrap my arms around Rory and squeeze him tight. “Right now, I want to snuggle with my boyfriend.”
“Snuggling sounds good.”
“Maybe, soon, we’ll be able to get some more alone time.”
“I think we have a few friends who would be happy to help with that.” Rory strokes my hair. “What did you have in mind?”
“You mentioned hot wax and ice cubes.” I bite my lip as I stare into his dark eyes. “That sounds…”
Rory arches an eyebrow.
“Sexy,” I blurt out.
