Blake folds his arms. “Spill.”

The trouble is, we all know each other too well. That’s the thing when you’re one of three. We’ve known each other our entire lives. We’ve shared every high and low, and we’ve always been there for each other. We can tell at a glance when one of us struggling, and we can communicate with nothing more than minute facial expressions when we need to. People used to joke we shared a psychic connection when we were growing up. We don’t. We’re just so used to being around each other and reading each other.

I glance into the living area. Lexi is sitting on the sofa, clutching the remote control, watchingMy Little Pony.

“Lexi?”

“Hmm?” she doesn’t look at me.

“Are you okay if Blake and I go upstairs?”

“Yes, Daddy.” She sounds distracted.

I shut the door and motion for Blake to follow me before heading to my room.

“Have you got any plans tonight?” I ask, sitting on my bed.

“Yes, why?” Blake shuts the door and sits at my desk, his arms resting on the back of my chair.

“Plans you could cancel?”

He flinches. “Why?”

“Would you watch Lexi while I go get laid?”

He arches an eyebrow. “Who by?”

“The guy who screwed me at the party last week.”

“I thought you didn’t swap numbers?’

“We didn’t.” I run the heel of my hand over my knee. “We ran into each other again.”

“When?”

“What’s with the third degree?” I ask defensively.

“You’re asking me to give up spending the night with my boyfriends,” Blake points out. “I think I’m entitled to ask a few questions.”

Boyfriends. When did that happen?

“You’re doing more than hooking up?” I ask.

“We agreed to only play with each other,” Blake says. “So I guess that makes us boyfriends? It definitely makes me their sub.” His lips quirk into a contented smile. Then he shakes himself and focuses on me again. “When did you meet this guy again?”

“At the hospital.” Heat prickles my cheeks.

“You did say he was a doctor,” Blake recalls. “So… wait… you want to go and screw the doctor that treated Lexi in hospital?”

“Well, I want him to screw me, but yeah… I know you’ve already done me a huge favour today, and I’d ask Archie, but he’s not here.”

Archie is spending the weekend with his boss and idol, Hamish Cameron.

Blake drops his head onto his arms.

“Why don’t you invite your guys over?” I suggest, desperate to get him to agree.

The more I think about Spence’s invitation, the more I want to go. I want him to make me feel like jelly again. I want him to help all my cares fade away, even if it’s just for an hour or two.
