I nod.

“The card doesn’t change anything, does it?” Blake asks.

I shake my head. “I love Spence.” I swipe at my eyes. “It’s good to know she’s alive. I hope she’s okay.”

“I think she is,” Archie says. “I think she’s always been okay.”

I nod. He’s probably right.

“You don’t think…?” My throat thickens.

“What?” Blake asks.

“That she’s going to try and take Lexi away?”

“No. She’s saying goodbye. Properly this time.”

“You think?”

“Yes.”

“Blake’s right,” Archie says. “That’s not a message from someone who’s about to come and tear your life apart. She’s giving you closure so you can move on with Spence.” He rubs my shoulder. “It’s time to let her go, Corey.”

I sniff. “I did let her go. A long time ago. I love Spence. I’m going to marry him, and the three of us are going to be so happy.”

“Then let’s get this show on the road,” Blake says. “It’s time for you to say your vows and become mister and mister.”

I laugh.

“You might want to dry your eyes first,” Archie suggests.

“Why?” Blake asks. “He’s going to be in floods by the end of his vows, and you know it.”

“I think you’re mistaking me for Mum.”

“Nah,” Blake and Archie say together.

There’s another knock on the door.

“Time to go,” they say, still talking in unison.

“Stop doing that,” I grumble.

“Why?”

I turn and glare at them both. “It’s annoying.”

“You love us, really.”

I wipe my hands over my face. “People will start thinking we’re psychic.”

“Only if weallstart talking together,” Blake points out. “And we haven’t done that since we were kids.” He loops his arm through mine. “Let’s go. It’s wedding time.”

Lexi runs to meet us as we arrive outside the room I’m getting married in. The doors are shut. Lexi, Tabitha, and Robbie have been waiting outside with Mum.

“You boys look so handsome,” Mum declares, rushing over to hug me and then Archie and Blake.

The children look amazing. Lexi and Tabitha are both wearing dusk pink chiffon dresses with ruffled sleeves. Robbie has a suit on, a mini version of the ones Archie, Blake, and I are wearing, with a bow tie that matches the colour of the dresses. He is carefully carrying a white pillow with our rings on, while the girls are holding mini bouquets of roses.
