“It’s good, isn’t it?” Asher asked.

“Yes,” Elowen moaned.

“This is why I like yoga,” Danika said. “I need all thisstretching. Back when I was thirty, I didn’t need to do this. Now, I have to.”

Elowen wondered if she should add yoga to her weekly routine. Lifting weights was important because she had to keep up with her strength. Back when she was still working on the cabin, she didn’t have to workout as much. But now, her work wasn’t so active.

“We’re about halfway finished, Elowen. Do you like it?” Rowan asked.

“It’s not bad. I could see doing yoga at home.”

Nichole grunted. “Yoga is good. I like doing it better with these women. At home we don’t have a lot of space in our places. Having this much space is amazing.”

“Yeah, this space is cool. Honestly, I can’t believe the first owner of the property wanted a place this huge. It’s sad that they couldn’t take care of it and it fell into disrepair. But I’m glad I was able to buy it.”

She could tell they were almost done because Becky described more than once how they were only doing two more positions. She felt better after their last pose and now was interested in doing more.

The video ended and Danika shut off the TV. “I think we deserve to drink some champagne right now.”

“Yes!” Nichole headed into the kitchen and opened the cabinet with the glasses.

The other women all crowded into the kitchen, excitedly squealing. She laughed and followed them.

“None for me. I still have stuff I have to do today.”

Rowan turned to her. “So how are things going with you and Griz? He seems smitten.”

Laughter bubbled up about Griz. “He’s really good. I think we’re going to try for more than just this week.”

Danika raised her glass. “Oh, nice,”

She nodded. “It is. I like him a lot. I knew him reallywell when we were kids, but I need to get to know him again. I’m sure some stuff is the same, but I know he’s changed.”

Danika nodded. “It’s weird. Sharp is the same in some ways, but he’s also different. He’s a good man. Much better than I could have imagined.”

“It’s funny. When I first met Shine, I knew he was a good guy. Now, I see the man he is, and he’s amazing.”

Asher had water, not champagne but she raised her glass before she spoke. “Squat was always good. He’s an incredible man.”

Nichole snorted. “Since I hooked up with Jay, all I knew was he was good at sex. But he was also kind. He’s a great man.”

“Oh, sister, I was hooking up with Apple and we got a baby. I’m lucky he’s a good guy. It could have been some random jerk because back then I wasn’t into long term.”

They all laughed. Danika put her arm around Amelia’s shoulder. “You’re too funny.”

“No, seriously,” Amelia said. “I wasn’t very discerning. I slept with guys for their looks only. I was going through shit. I was probably making bad decisions as a rebellion thing, though all I was doing was hurting myself.”

“God, doesn’t that suck?” Nichole asked.

Amelia’s eyebrows rose. “What?”

“Rebellion usually hurts us, not the people we’re rebelling against. Like my mom didn’t seem bothered when I went through my rebellious streak.”

Rowan threw back her head, laughing. “I once chopped my hair off so I had bangs because my mom didn’t want me to get them. Joke’s on me, bangs are all wrong for my forehead and face. Worse, I cut them straight across and short. I looked so bad.”

“Oh, come on, you couldn’t look bad,” Amelia said.

Rowan laughed more. “Trust me, I look awful with short bangs.”
