“Are we watching a Christmas movie?”
He pushes the door open. “Only if you’re in the mood for one.”
“I am. We’re doing this whole Christmas thing to the max.”
He laughs. “Pretty sure we have. The only thing left to do is tie you up with some lights.”
I whirl around, my heart fluttering. “Are you serious?”
He drags me close, a growl rumbling in his chest. “Does that smile mean you’d like that?”
“I don’t know, I’ve never tried it.”
He kisses my forehead. “I’ve been too rough with you today. Tomorrow we’ll steal some lights from one of these rooms and find out.”
Oh boy!
“Is that a promise?”
He grabs my butt, squeezes it, dragging me tight to his cock, then smacks it once for emphasis. “Anything my girl wants, she gets.”
“Anything?” I grin against his mouth as I steal a kiss.
“Name your pleasure.”
“How about some cookies from the kitchen to enjoy with the movie.”
He whirls me around and marches me to a theater chair. When I’m settled, he passes me an elaborate remote. “Cue up something. I’m going on a kitchen raid.”
“Aye, aye, captain.”
He chuckles, ruffling my hair. “It’scopythat, big daddy.”
I’m still laughing when he vanishes, his boots echoing on the stone hallway.
The quiet settles in around me, and for the first time, I’m alone with my thoughts, my body, and the thing that’s very much alive between us.
It feels far more intense and far more perfect than I could ever imagine.
But Justice…
Ugh. I pinch my eyebrow. This is going to be a problem. Tomorrow’s Christmas. They could show up any time. Definitely by the twenty-sixth, this little vacation in paradise will involve a lot more people.
I’m blushing, sweating, and about to chew my fingernails when Spence returns.
“What’s wrong?” He’s so tuned in, he didn’t even sit down and he’s already onto the fact that I’m worrying over something.
“Just…”
He sits, takes the remote out of my hand, and clasps my fingers between his. “I’m dealing with everything.”
The tone of his voice is so solemn and so sure.
“It’s not fair. He’s my brother.”
Spence squeezes my hand gently. “My job is to protect you, and that includes from your brother’s emotional wrath.”
“I love you,” I whisper.
