“I know how to work my phone just fine. If I decide I want to link up with you, I’ll let you know. Until then, you don’t need to blow up my line. I promise it won’t make me want to answer any faster.”
“You’re a real dickhead,” Amber scoffed as she walked away. I never understood why it took women so long to realize when someone didn’t want to be bothered. Maybe I had too much pride, but I would never call anyone back to back if they weren’t answering. I had never been that pressed behind a woman to chase her. That shit was lame to me.
“Dreaux strikes again. I swear I don’t know why bitches fuck with you. You don’t give a fuck what comes out of your mouth.” Loyal chuckled as he ate his wings.
“Her pussy was trash. I’ve been fucking since I was twelve, and I’ve never met a bitch with walls as loose as hers. My dick is too big for me to be falling through double-wide trailer pussy. Now, if I had said that to her face, I would have been wrong.” I reasoned. People called me mean because the truth was a hard pill to swallow.
“Damn, that’s crazy as hell. One of these days, you’re gonna meet your match,” Messiah teased.
“He already has,” Justice commented. I knew who he was referring to because I had been confiding in him about my feelings for a while.
“Oh, you must be talking about our cousin.” Loyal chimed in.
“I don’t want to talk about her tonight.”
Peace and I were on better terms, but she was still keeping me at arm’s length. If it wasn’t about the apartment, work, or Promise, our conversations were minimal. I hadn’t pressed theissue because I needed to focus on my own shit, but I would be lying if I said it didn’t bother me.
“Naw, you’re finally the one having woman problems. We’ve got to talk about this.”
“I don’t have woman problems at all. Nothing is going on between us, and it’s best to keep it that way. Peace has a lot of shit going on, and she needs to focus on herself and her baby girl. Besides, I’m not interested in a relationship, and she seems like the type to want a commitment.”
“Sounds like bullshit to me. I see the way you look at her when the two of you are in the same room. It’s clear you have feelings for her, which is major because you don’t like anybody,” Loyal expressed.
“Is it because she has baggage or because she used to be with Chop?”
My face frowned at the mention of his bitch ass. Chop was the last thing on my mind when it came to Peace. Although I wasn’t sure she would feel the same way.
“Hell no. Chop is and always will be a bitch ass nigga in my eyes. I don’t care about her past with him at all.”
“Then what’s the issue?” Justice questioned.
“Love ain’t for me. I keep telling y’all that. Peace has been through enough bullshit with niggas, and I’m not about to add to it. I’m cool with us being friends because it’s for the best.”
“Then why were you trying to cockblock when you thought she had a nigga coming over there?” Justice pressed.
“I pay all the bills in that mothafucka, and I wasn’t cool with another nigga setting his balls on the furniture I paid for. Besides, she doesn’t need to be worried about a man right now. All I’m tryna do is look out for her. That’s all.” They all looked at me skeptically, but I meant what I said.
“Yeah, alright. We’ll revisit this conversation in a couple of months when she’s dating someone else, and you’re sliding down the wall.” Loyal joked.
“Hey, daddy. I haven’t seen you here in a while.” Daisy purred in my ear. My dick jumped in response to her voice. I hadn’t busted a good nut in weeks because of my schedule, and I needed someone to relieve this tension I was carrying.
“What’s up, ma?” Daisy was a pretty, brown-skinned cutie with curves for days. She might have paid a pretty penny for it, but it was money well spent because her ass moved like water when I hit from behind.
“I’m about to clock out in a few minutes. What’s on your agenda for the night?”
“I don’t have any plans. You tryna slide by the condo tonight?”
“Of course. I’ve got to run home, shower, and change clothes. I can be there in the next thirty minutes.”
“Sounds like a plan. I’ll see you then.” Once the plans were established, she walked away.
“Damn, bro. You tryna dip out on us like that?” Messiah asked.
“Hell yeah. I haven’t gotten my dick wet in weeks. Plus, I already know y’all curfews are coming up, and you’ll be running home to your wives. I’ll catch y’all lazy asses at the gym on Monday.” I got up and tossed a hundred dollars on the table. My condo wasn’t too far from here, but I needed to run to the store to grab some condoms. I planned to wear Daisy’s ass out because I had a lot of pent-up aggression from dealing with Peace’s stubborn ass.
“His ass ain’t slick. He’s gonna imagine it’s Peace while he fucking that girl tonight.” Loyal wasn’t wrong, but I wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of knowing he was right.
“Fuck all of y’all. I’m out of here.”
