He gave me a soft smile before darting around to fetch all the clothes I had torn off of him.

“You’re gonna need another shower first!” I reminded him.

He pouted at me but took his armful of clothes into the bathroom. I looked down at myself. I was naked and had come out of the shower wearing just a towel when I had found Jinx already dressed in his suit.

I sniffed my armpits. I had fucked him quite vigorously though. Sighing, I ran into the ensuite in the guest room to freshen up.

Meeting Jinx back in the bedroom a short while later, I groaned. He still looked divine in his dark properly tailored suit. My cock twitched hopefully and I wanted nothing more than to get him out of it again. But we had a wedding to get to.

I hastily threw on my own suit. As I fiddled with the tie whilst watching myself in the mirror, Jinx snuck up behind me and pinched my ass. I yelped and grinned at him.

“Let’s go,” I said.

Jinx grabbed his cap from the bedside table and put it on.

“Jinx, you can’t wear that to a wedding.”

“Why not?” he signed.

“Because… because.” I sighed. “Nevermind, come on, we really need to go.”

As I wove the car through the traffic far too fast, I checked my understanding again.

“So, these friends of yours, ones a human and ones not a human, but not a demon?”

Jinx nodded.

Our communication was still limited sometimes but usually only on complicated nuanced matters. My signing skills were rapidly catching up to his.

“But they know you are a demon, but their friends don’t?”

Another nod.

I was so curious. I had been surprised to find that Jinx had friends in the human realm. Apparently after meeting me, he had spent some time with them and they had been worried when the collar had stopped his visits, effectively making him disappear from their perspective.

After I had summoned him and we had finished our very long and very thorough reunion, he had told me he was going to visit someone and would be back soon.

I’d been intrigued but respected his privacy. I had used the time to check in with the Council and ask if it was okay if I didn’t collar him again. As I was his summoner now, I had a great deal of power over him anyway. The Council had agreed but warned it would not tolerate the slightest misdemeanors. That seemed fair enough.

We got to the venue far too late. Jinx barely let me park before jumping out of the car and pulling me along with unnatural speed. We carefully opened the door and quietly slipped into some empty seats on the back row. Thankfully, only a few people glanced at us.

The couple by the dais were stunning. One looked like Jason Momoa and the other was a dreamy twink with bright pink hair. They stared at each other adoringly as the celebrant went through the ceremony.

The guy with the pink hair puzzled me. He looked human but his essence was unusual. Something dark and powerful. Definitely dangerous. Jinx was right about the not human, not demon thing.

The guests all seemed very human. Flamboyantly and wonderfully queer, but all very human. It was certainly a puzzle. At least Jinx’s beloved shark hat didn’t stand out at all.

Jinx’s squirming distracted me. He was literally sitting on the edge of his seat. His eyes glowing with happiness. Clearly delighted and enthralled to be watching his friends get married. His joy was infectious.

The ceremony finished, and the happy couple kissed. The guests erupted into raucous cheering, wolf-whistling and clapping. Most people got on their feet. I was momentarily taken aback. It was a far cry from the stuffy formal ceremonies that I was used to.

Jinx dragged me back to the car for the drive to the reception. He seemed to know exactly where he was going and he directed me effortlessly. I had to pass by the building he gestured at and park a few blocks away. It was a busy part of town and there was nowhere closer to park. Jinx took my hand and towed me along to a gay bar in a less than salubrious part of town. I hadn’t had time to see what it was when we first drove past. I stopped in my tracks and stared at it. It seemed an odd choice for a wedding reception.

Jinx glared at me impatiently.

“Why here?” I asked.

“They own it,” he signed.
