She hesitates for a few seconds before starting to bob up and down my length, and I have to swallow my moans. My hand slips from her hair, and Kayla takes the opportunity to stand and jet toward the door.
Scrambling to follow her, I don’t even care that my cock is swinging about as I block her from moving back inside. She glares at me, her chest rising and falling in furious pants.
“Beau!” Kendall’s voice shouts through the phone. Kayla looks around, as if she’s about to run again.
I tuck myself back into my pants and mute myself. “If you run, I’ll just follow you. Let me hang up?—”
She takes off, turning and running toward the woods. Her boots dig into the inches of snow, and she’s stumbling but determined to get away from me.
I hold my phone to my ear, unmuting myself. “I’m having trouble hearing you. I think it’s a bad connection. I’ll call you back.”
Keeping my eyes on the direction she’s running as she disappears into the line of trees, I hang up, tossing the phone toward the bench. I grab the large blanket and take off after her.
“Kayla!” I shout, running after her. The crunch of snow and sticks under my feet echoes in the chilly air.
“Leave me alone!” Her dark hair whips out from behind her.
I growl, a strange anticipation coursing through my blood. “If I catch you, I’m going to throw you to the ground and fuck you.”
Kayla pauses, looking over her shoulder briefly before taking off again. The smirk that my face dons isn’t kind; adrenaline is pumping my blood straight to my hard cock.
With a predator’s instinct, I stalk toward her, gaining footing as the trees start to thicken and a clear path thins. Tiny snowflakes start to fall around us, and I curse, knowing I’ll have to get us inside in case it starts to worsen.
“Storm might get worse, Kayla!” I shout.
She stops again, turning to face me as she’s panting. “Then turn around and I’ll follow you back.”
I narrow my glare. “No. Something tells me if I get you back in that house before we’ve talked then I won’t ever get what’s really bothering you.”
She crosses her arms over her chest, and I can see the harsh swallow of her throat from here. “Your cock was in my fucking mouth and you picked up the phone!”
I shrug. “It would have been worse if I ignored her. I was going to get off really fast.”
Kayla scoffs. “Yeah, I bet you were.”
A smile pulls at my lips. “Not like that. I meant off the phone.”
She sniffs, looking away from me. “It was just incredibly disrespectful, and a stark reminder that we shouldn’t be doing this. I wanted space to get my thoughts in order and you wouldn’t let me leave.”
“Because you’re the one I want! I don’t give a shit she called me, I only want you.”
Kayla’s shoulders slump. “She’s your wife.”
“And if I could take it back, I would. In a fucking heartbeat. You can’t tell me you don’t feel the same. If you’d found me when you were pregnant with Theo, that would have been us. Hell, I didn’t even fucking date for two years because I was so hung up on you.”
She’s shaking her head before I even finish. “No, no. It doesn’t matter. You got married.”
“And I’m leaving her. I want you and Theo.”
Kayla stares at me, eyes watering. I can see the determination on her face to end us already. I toss the blanket on the ground. She flinches as it lands before her, her gaze widening at the growing bulge in my sweatpants.
We have something to finish. She makes a move to dart past me, but I leap at her, wrapping my arms around her waist, then pulling us onto the ground. We both grunt at the impact, and I roll her onto her back, enough of it covered from the cold, wet ground by the scrunched blanket.
She swats at me. “Let me go!”
I grab her wrists, slamming them above her head as I lean into her face.
“Never,” I snarl. “I already made that mistake once, and believe me, I fucking learned from it.”
