“Between the three of us. I never had a dynamic like this before.” He couldn’t agree more. The easygoing play he shared with Zack over the years changed the moment Sophie entered the equation. It was becoming undeniable.

“This?”

“Well, this is a spin on casual dating.” Sophie ran her fingers through her hair, pulling it away from her face. Her wristcuff jingled, and Aiden could notice marks blooming on her collarbone from previous play.

He reached out and clasped her arm, pulling her pulse to his lips. She was warm and welcoming to the touch. Aiden kissed a few of the subtle blooming bruises. “I don’t know how casual this will be, little star.”

Sophie’s hand touched his jaw. He closed his eyes as her nails scratched his stubble.

“I mean, I do call you Daddy after all.” Aiden nipped her shoulder, and she squeaked. “I’ve admittedly never done that before either.”

“I’ve been called that a few times, honestly.” But it didn’t feel right until her. The exception to everything.

“So this is something you and Zack have done before? Share someone?”

“We’ve shared women. We’ve had separate scenes in the same room as well. Sometimes watching is half the fun.”

“Fun.” Sophie rolled her eyes. “Okay, so you’re the sweet one who romances me while Zack fucks me lik–”

“You’ll watch the words you speak about someone I care about.” He sharpened his gaze, making sure she understood how she was to speak about herself.

“There’s no way to sugar-coat it, Aiden. The things I’ve allowed Zack to do aren’t the things you run home to tell your parents about.”

“While that’s true. Did you consent to everything that has happened?”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Then there’s nothing to be ashamed of.”

Aiden touched her chin gently. He could see the doubt and worry in her eyes. “I think having you write those lines would convince you further.”

“Teasing, promise!” Sophie shook her head quickly with a half laugh.

“How about business talk to occupy you instead?” He kissed her softly. “I was impressed with the project proposal. It’s hard to find someone else who appreciates detail the way I do.”

Zack

Zack sat on the balcony with his coffee, scrolling through business emails while waiting for Aiden to come down. He’d set them up with a video meeting with Sharon, who took care of their business properties.

Aiden had his eye on properties up north and insisted on taking a hands-on approach in broadening Surrender's reach.

“Morning. Did you get the paperwork and checklist I put on your desk yesterday?” Aiden strolled into the living room. He beelined to the coffee pot and tucked the paper under his arm.

Zack heard him shuffle inside the kitchen. He moved out to the patio table where they often gathered when either of them took a moment's pause.

“Yeah, I did.”

“What did you think?”

“I think you slept in,” Zack mused as he took another sip.

“We’ve had some entertainment this week. It’s been… strenuous.” Aiden shrugged.

The corner of Zack's mouth kicked up into a smirk. “For her or for you?”

“Both.”
