“No. It’s just hard to…” Marcy laughed. “It’s hard to colour inside the lines, if you know what I mean. You’re so yummy.” She finally did Zoe’s legs and finished with a playful slap on her behind. “That’s your punishment for torturing me.”
“Can’t say I mind your punishment.” Zoe turned around and stared at Marcy’s breasts. She too, was clearly having trouble with the situation. “Want me to do your back?”
“I think I need to cool down first.” Marcy stood up and held out her hand to help Zoe up. “Swim?”
“I’ll race you to it.” Zoe sprinted ahead and Marcy followed, forgetting all about the other beachgoers as she tried to catch up with Zoe. If running behind her looked like this, she had no desire to win, because Zoe’s behind was a delightful sight. She ran through the shallows and dived in. Zoe was fast and a good swimmer, and within minutes, she’d crossed the bay and was holding onto a rock while Marcy was still struggling somewhere half-way.
“Are you a mermaid or something?” She grabbed hold of the same rock, panting while she tried to steady her breathing. “I thought I was in good shape, but you’ve just proven me wrong.”
“It’s not you,” Zoe said, finger combing her hair back. “I used to be on the regional swim team, and I still swim about four times a week, before work.” She shielded her eyes from the sun and pointed ahead. “I haven’t been here in years, but there should be a cave behind that rock over there. Do you think you can make it, or is it too far?”
“Of course, I can make it. Just don’t expect me to keep up with you.” Marcy braced herself for another long stretch and took a couple of deep breaths before she followed Zoe again. It wasn’t far, but the current was strong today, and she was relieved to see a tiny beach hidden under the entrance to the cave.
“You wouldn’t know this is here unless you’ve passed in a boat,” Zoe said as she shook out her hair and let herself fall down in the sand, splaying her arms wide. “It’s my little secret.”
“It’s very cool.” Marcy glanced around and realised Zoe was right. They had complete privacy here and the big tour boats that passed were too far out to see them. “I’ve been living here most of my life and I’ve never even heard of it.”
“That’s because you don’t know anyone who goes to the nudist beach.”
“True.” Marcy contemplated lying down next to Zoe. She was tired but her naked body was too enticing to resist, so she straddled her instead.
“Mmm… come here.” Zoe pulled her down for a kiss, and Marcy almost exploded with pent-up lust. When Marcy’s hands were on her breasts and her mouth moved to her neck, she closed her eyes and smiled. “One more time won’t hurt, right?”

“Thanks for a fun morning, although I didn’t realise sand could get into so many inaccessible places.” Zoe chuckled as they lingered by the main road from where they would go their separate ways. They’d lost track of time and she’d have to hurry home to get dressed. Marcy didn’t seem in a rush, though; her demeanour relaxed as she shielded her eyes from the sun.
“I should thankyou,” she said. “It was your idea to hang out naked, not mine. A great idea, if I may add, so maybe you should plan our second date.”
“Second date?” Zoe frowned as alarm bells started ringing in the back of her mind. She was way too excited about seeing Marcy again, and that was dangerous. She needed to protect herself and keep a safe distance, or she might regret it like nothing else. “Listen, it’s been great, but I think we should take it easy and not call this dating because what we’re doing will never be anything more than casual fun.”
Marcy tilted her head as she thought about that. A flash of concern crossed her features, but she painted a smile on her face and nodded. “Okay. I’ll take casual fun.” She crossed her arms, leaned against a lamppost, and looked Zoe up and down, undressing her with her eyes, just like she had for the past two days. “How about you come over to my new place for some casual fun tonight?”
“Hmm… That’s a bit soon, don’t you think? We’re only just saying goodbye.”
“Exactly, and I don’t want to say goodbye,” Marcy said. “Also, it’s my first night there and I might feel lonely.” She jutted out her bottom lip and shot Zoe a pleading look. “Please? It will be so much more fun with you.”
Zoe chuckled and shook her head. Her attempt to come across indifferent had failed, and she was aware of the huge grin on her face. Of course, she wanted to spend another night with Marcy. This was no doubt the start of a string of bad decisions and heartache, but she would do it again without a second thought. “Honestly, I’d like that, but I have to work, and I don’t finish until late.”
“That’s okay. I’ll stay up.”
“You don’t take no for an answer, do you?” Zoe asked, her gaze meeting Marcy’s twinkling blue eyes. Those eyes could make her do anything.
Marcy shrugged and shot her a confident smile. “I usually get my way.”
“That’s what I thought.” Zoe didn’t want to give in straight away, so she turned around and winked at Marcy over her shoulder. “Well, I might see you tonight then. If not, I’ll see you around.”
“Might?” Marcy raised her voice as Zoe walked off. “Hey, wait! You can’t just leave me hanging like this. I could be waiting all night and you might never show up.”
“I’m sure plenty of women have been waiting around for you over the years, Marcy. It wouldn’t hurt for you to be in their shoes for once.” Amused by the amble of more protests behind her, Zoe ignored her and walked home with a bounce in her step.
The day was warm and balmy, and inside she felt just as heated. The walk to her parents’ house passed her in a haze, and she was surprised when she suddenly found herself at the front door. Her mother, who was ironing in front of the TV, perked up when she saw her. “Morning, dear. How was your night?”
“It was fun, thanks.” Zoe pointed upstairs. “Sorry, I’m in a rush to get to work so I have to get changed.”
“Nonsense, you still have time for a cup of tea.” Her mother checked her watch. “You start at three, right? I’ll make tea while you get changed. Then you can tell me all about your night.”
“There’s not much to tell. I had drinks with Sara and stayed at her house, that’s it.” Zoe felt her cheeks burn and decided to conclude her statement with a truth to make up for a lie. She hated lying to her mother. “I’m sorry to disappoint you. There’s no man, but I’ll take that cup of tea. I won’t be long.”
