Jace’s sinful mouth twisted into a devilish smile, and he dragged his tongue across the front of his teeth before biting it between two sharp canines.
“This is something.” Jace leaned back in his seat and stretched his legs out. “Funny running into you like this.”
“I didn’t. We didn’t…” He made a frustrated noise. “We didn’t run into each other. Are you really trying to tell me thatyouare the person Sebastian set me up with?”
Jace held his hand out, motioning for a handshake. “One fake boyfriend at your service,” he said. “You can check my phone if you don’t believe me. I still have his messages, and yours.”
Jace swiped open the cracked screen on his phone and tapped around.
“Are you still coming?” he asked, giving Callahan a megawatt smile. “That was you. Then I said just got through security. Nice to meet you, too. Wink face emoji.”
“Right, fine, but…” Callahan was interrupted by the flight attendant.
“Can I get you a drink, sir?” he said to Jace.
“Already?” Jace’s eyes widened and he rubbed his hands together like an excited child. “I’ll have a mimosa. If you can do that.”
“Of course.” The attendant looked at Callahan’s empty drink. “Would you like another, sir?”
“Yes.” Callahan passed his glass.
This couldn’t be happening. He was going to skin Sebastian alive when they got into town. There was no way he could pretend to be in a relationship with the man he’d been jacking off to for the past two weeks. There was absolutely no chance in hell that Callahan could maintain even the most minute amount of necessary cool to make it through the weekend with Jay—or Jace, as it were.
Sebastian’s entire grand plan was going to go down in flames and take Callahan’s pride with it.
“I can’t do this,” he said with a helpless shrug. He turned in his seat to look at Jace, who was even more attractive in the daylight, which was patently unfair and cruel.
“Why not?”
The flight attendant brought their drinks, and Callahan watched the way Jace’s lips rested like feathers against the rim of the champagne flute as he took his first drink. Jace’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed, and his entire demeanor changed. His shoulders relaxed and the lines around his mouth vanished as his lips pulled into averyknowing smirk.
“You know why not,” Callahan hissed.
“Is it because of what happened?” Jace leaned in close.
“Nothing happened.”
“Oh.” Jace made a soft tutting noise. “We both know that’s not true, don’t we?”
Chapter Six
Jace Tries to Compartmentalize
Holy shit.
Holy shit.
Holy shit.
Sebastian’s friend, and Jace’s new pretend boyfriend for the weekend was Mr. Hungry-blue-eyes-with-the-really-hard-cock that he hadn’t been able to stop thinking about for the last two weeks.
Play it cool, he thought to himself, taking a drink of his free mimosa.
“We both know that’s not true, don’t we?” He hoped his voice didn’t waver as he reminded Callahan of exactly what had transpired between them at the club, but his hands were shaking so he set his glass down beside Callahan’s drink.
Callahan’s nostrils flared and he jerked in his seat, turning away from Jace and facing forward like Jace didn’t exist.
“Come on,” He leaned closer. “Callahan, you’re acting like you’ve been thinking about me for days on end.”
