“Come on, Declan,” I say, tossing him a shirt.

“Just you,” Henry corrects.

I purse my lips and cast a wanting glance at Declan, who is pulling the shirt over his head. When his face pops through the neck hole, he smiles at me. It’s a crooked thing, and I shove my hands into my pockets.

“It’s fine,” he promises. “I can go home and get some stuff or something.”

“This is your home.”

He laughs and crawls to the edge of the bed. “I know. That’s why it’s not practical for everything I own to be somewhere else.”

“I don’t like the idea of you going alone.” I lean toward him and press a kiss against his parted lips.

“We have a very long time to spend together,” he whispers. “You can manage a night without me.”

“I don’t want to.”

“Liz and Elijah can go with him. They were already going to go out,” Henry offers. “Jedidiah will be with us.”

I arch a brow and he shakes his head before shifting his weight and heaving an impatient sigh at me.

“I’ll be fine,” Declan says. He stands up and dances his fingers around my waist until they come together at the base of my spine. “I won’t be long, and when I get back, maybe you can…”

He goes silent, then thinks, fuck me with your cock and your fingers, put yourself so deep into me I can taste you in my throat.

“I’ll take you up on that,” I rasp.

You better. It might hurt. Maybe you should plan on restraining me. Aggressively.

I inhale sharply and nip the bottom of his ear lobe between my teeth, drawing the smallest drop of blood. “Will you fight me? Make me earn what’s mine?”

He tugs his head to the side and my teeth drag along the sensitive skin of his ear.

I’ll make you work for it.

“I love you,” I whisper and he smiles against my neck.

“I love you,” he answers, giving me a quick kiss to say goodbye. “Don’t turn it off, Ezra. I’ll be thinking about you while I’m gone.”

I nod.

“Where’re Liz and Elijah?” he asks Henry, heading toward the door. “I’m excited to meet the infamous Liz.”

“She’s a human,” Henry sighs. “Nothing terribly exciting.”

“Hey. I was a human until very recently.”

“And you’re not now. My brother remedied that ailment for you.” Henry’s lips tug into a smirk and I follow him and Declan into the hallway.

That ass, I think, and Declan flashes a look at me over his shoulder.

Liz and Elijah are near the front door with a pensive looking Diah. I’m not sure what our parents want to talk about, but it’s probably not good if they’re encouraging we send everyone out. Liz sees us and her lips part into a broad and honest smile.

“Is this Declan?” she claps her hands together and approaches Declan, wrapping him in a hug. He startles, then returns the embrace, patting her on the back awkwardly until she pulls away. “Elijah and I are going out dancing, do you want to come?”

“I actually wanted to go grab some things from my apartment. Henry said you two would come with me.”

Liz pouts. “After dancing.”
