Blade: The Prez kicked me out of the MC. He has it in for me. He’s targeted me since the day I became a prospect, Kaia.

Kaia: That’s not such a bad thing. You know what I think about you and motorcycle clubs.

Blade: I called it in last night. Couldn’t leave him on the road. Spoke to your dispatch guy.

Kaia: Called what in?

Blade: He had an accident, he was chasing me. Trying to kill me. Flipped over on his ride.

A coldness creeps under my skin and a prickling awareness tickles my scalp. I take a deep breath before I type.

Kaia: Who had an accident?

Blade: The Prez. He was fucking furious. Did he break anything? If he’s out of action for a while, I can get my plans in motion.

Kaia: He’ll live. I just want to check if we're talking about the same person. Is his name Saxon?

Blade: That’s right. Big, burly son-of-a-bitch. Has an Order tattoo on his belly. Hates me. Don’t trust him, sis.

I stare down at my phone.

I can’t equate Saxon’s warm, teasing tone with this evil MC president who wants to kill my brother. The same guy who Blade’s been cussing out for the last three months. Blade’s always been a troublemaker, but joining a motorcycle club was the icing on the cake. And now he’s made enemies with The Order’s president.

I stand outside the door for a second, not sure how to handle this. I could pretend not to know anything, duck in and out, and then ask for someone else to be his nurse. The problem is, there isn’t anyone else for the next couple of days while Marina is off with the flu.

The duty nurse for the ER, walks past. “You okay, Kaia? You look a little pale.”

I smile. “Just busy.”

“Okay, we might need you in a second. Someone called in a logging accident a couple of towns away. They’re bringing them here. Not sure how serious it is.”

I nod, pushing the door of Saxon’s room open.

His eyes are fixed on me as I come in. I avoid his gaze, setting the water jug down on the table by the bed. I turn around and square my shoulders.

“I’m going to be your nurse. But no sweet talk.”

He cocks an eyebrow. “And why’s that, angel?”

I stare back at him, even though it makes my stomach flip. The tops of the etched letters of the big tattoo spelling out The Order on his belly are peeking out of the white bedsheet.

“You’re the lowest of the low. You tried to kill my brother, Matthew. Known to you as Blade, because of that stupid scar he carved on himself. Your…prospect.”

His eyes flash and a muscle ticks in his jaw. “Former prospect.”

“Whatever. I’m his sister. And I don’t want anything to do with you.”

“That’s a pity,” Saxon says.

Despite myself, I can’t help but ask. “Why?”

“Because you’re going to have my babies.”

ChapterThree

SAXON

Kaia’s face is blank for a second, and then a rosy flush rises up her neck and cheeks. My dick is rock hard, imagining her nipples are the same pink shade. I want to tear off that ugly uniform and explore every inch of her soft, curvy body. My mouth is dry, as if the only way I can not be thirsty is by tasting her skin. The need to plunge my cock into her and spill my seed deep inside her is overwhelming. To claim her as mine over and over again.
