Hunter and I look at each other. We all agreed we'd make Skylar talk to us before we bombarded her with multiple orgasms. Paul's question is his way of reminding us to stick to the plan. We need her to see the possibility of being in a relationship with all three of us. Incredible sex is a perk, not the foundation.
Skylar shakes her head. "No. Dad moved to Fox Falls when I was almost twelve. He called me every Monday night on the payphone in town until I got busy in high school. Now, he checks in a couple of times a year."
She picks at her food and puts her fork down before continuing. "I spent about a week here during a summer break in college, but it was awkward being around my dad for that amount of time when we hadn't seen each other in person for so long."
Hunter looks at me.
Skylar catches our silent exchange. "I love my dad, but he was pretty young when I was born. Barely twenty. Mom, too, and she already had my brother, Reid." She shrugs. "Dad loves me, but he never would have even told me he’d had an accident if he wasn't desperate to help Monica."
She reaches for another piece of bread. "He's lucky this place is so cool."
"He's lucky you are such a great daughter," Hunter corrects, and she gives him a small smile.
"All right." Paul wipes his mouth with his napkin and stands. "I'm ready for dessert." So much for getting to know each other better. His intent is unmistakable.
Skylar's entire face lights up. "Me?" She points to herself.
Paul nods slowly. She stands and runs to the bedroom, all of us chasing her like wild animals.
When we get to the bedroom, she pulls off her leggings. "Is this plug waterproof?"
Paul nods, his eyes dark and hooded as he eyes her sexy body. He's the only one who didn't get time alone with her today, so he's particularly hard up. Although I've been fielding a massive erection since the office earlier, so I'm not sure I'm in any better shape than him.
"I'm going to take a shower first," she says once she's completely naked, and we stare at her hungrily. "You three wait here."
She walks slowly into the bathroom, leaving the door open so we can watch her through the glass doors.
After a thorough soaping of every inch of her body, she wraps herself in a towel and trots out to the bedroom. She climbs into the middle of the bed and props herself up on the pillows, beckoning to all three of us with one finger.
We are all so amped up at this point, delirious from the mutual edging, that I'm grateful when Paul speaks up, halting us in our tracks as Hunter and I get ready to pounce on our prey.
"Why'd you leave, Skylar?" Paul's voice holds love tinged with hurt. We can all hear it.
Skylar sits up quickly, realizing she’s not getting out of having this conversation. She shakes her head, refusing to look at us.
"What are you worried about, doll?" Hunter sits on the chair near the bed, carefully keeping his distance so she’ll keep talking.
Skylar looks at him, then flicks her eyes to me, where I stand in the corner, then to Paul. He puts the control for the vibrator on the dresser and sits in the plush armchair.
Finally, Skylar takes a deep breath. "I'm worried that you came all the way out here just to fuck me," she says quietly, picking at the duvet without looking at any of us. "And when you've all had enough of me, I'm the one who's going to have to deal with my broken heart."
We all freeze, staring at the woman who has consumed our souls for years.
"What did you just say?" Hunter growls.
Chapter seven
Hunter
"Why would you think we’d ever have enough of you?" I ask, watching Skylar carefully.
She blushes as she looks at us. "I can't be the only woman you've ever shared. You’re all way too good at this."
We don't deny it.
"None of us has ever fallen in love with anyone before, and certainly not all three of us at once, Skylar." Mark's voice is calm, but I know he's suppressing the fear that this will cause her torun away again. I feel it too, but if part of her reason for running is worry over our sense of commitment, I want to snuff out that ridiculous thought immediately.
"We've watched you for years," I tell her, ignoring the look from Paul telling me to stop talking.
