“She in the kitchen.” Al pointed. “Take her mean ass far the fuck away from us.”

“You can’t be the same person I spoke to on the phone.” Aria frowned. “You’re rude.”

“I’m not. Had it been me, I would’ve told you to pick her crazy ass up downtown.” Al shut the door behind them. “Side note, you cute... do you got a nigga? You know what... it don’t even matter.”

“Um, eww.” Aria waved him off. “Ty,” she called out.

“She's in the kitchen eating my mans out of a house and a home. Yall need to be writing us a check or something. We saved her, bathed her, clothed her, and fed her. I'm not even gone talk about what she did to my fucking car,” he blabbered as if she were a lost dog instead of a person. “My shit gone smell like open ass for months.”

“You talk too much.” Aria pursed her lips. “Anybody ever tell you that?”

“Nope,” Al lied. He had been told that all his life, but she didn’t need to know that.

“Frienddddd.” Shane hugged Tyler’s neck as soon as he laid eyes on her. “You ok?”

Tyler fought the urge to laugh. She had been knowing Shane all her life and could count on one hand how many times she’d seen him dressed like a man. However, today he came ready for war. Comfortably dressed in a pair of army fatigue pants, a black t-shirt that was two sizes too big, and black Air Force Ones, Shane was ready for whatever. His Detroit fitted hat was turned to the back, and there wasn’t a lick of makeup on his face. He was still giving Arrogant Tae, but a much manlier version.

“What do you have on?” Tyler snickered.

“I didn’t know what to expect. I mean he do live in King Projects. We almost had to say a password to get in here.”

“Right, I thought they were going to have you chained to a bed like ole girl inBlack Snake Moan,” Aria whispered.

“We should have chained her ass to the bed,” Al snorted.

“You need to stop watching movies,” Tyler giggled. “For kidnappers, they’ve been really nice. That one talks a lot though.” She pointed to Al.

“Oh, I believe that,” Aria loudly snorted.

“Um, is there somewhere we can talk... privately?” Shane asked Logic.

“Uh, yea, my room back there. Last door on the right.”

“Yall can talk in the car... when yall leave,” Al stated matter-of-factly. “No need to prolong yall departure.”

“Shut up.” Tyler twisted her wrist in his face as she passed by him.

Following behind Shane, they entered Logic’s room and closed the door. The second Tyler sat on the bed, she opened her mouth to speak, but loud sobs slipped from her lips. All the feelings she suppressed that morning exploded, leaving herclawing at her neck for air. She didn't remember anything about last night after Dex showed up. She didn’t remember leaving the club, she didn’t remember being in Al’s car, or throwing up, for that matter. All Tyler knew was that she woke up in a big shirt on a stranger's couch. She couldn’t help but think how different things would’ve been if it had not been Logic who took her.

“Ty.” Aria dropped to her side.

“Calm down, Ty.” Shane rubbed her back as she cried into her hands. “You’re gonna make yourself sick.”

“I-I-I don’t remember how I even got here,” she sobbed. “I don’t remember what happened.”

“Friend, I think Dex gave you something,” Aria whispered.

“I remember that. I always take Perc and never feel like that. I was having an out-of-body experience.” Tyler wiped her face. “Like I was sitting on the couch watching myself and there wasn’t shit I could do about it.”

“It had to be something other than Perc. Shit, we done all popped a Perc, but last night you were out of it,” Shane told her. “We kept trying to get to you, but Dex had us put out of the section.”

“He what?” Tyler’s eye bloomed.

“Yea, he had us put out.” Aria nodded. “I tried to slap his ugly ass, but Bobbi jumped in the way, so just know when I see her, I’m going to knock the dog shit out of her.”

“I think she called him.” Shane twisted his lips. “I don’t put shit past that hoe.”

“How bad did it get?” Tyler’s heart dropped.
