“Fine, I guess his ugly self can walk with us.”

“Yall look like triplets, so what does that say about you?”

“Shut up Lo.” She waved her hand at him as Shugg stepped out of the door. She peeped the frown on her twin's face and then the smug expression on her brother's.

“What did you do to my twin?” Shugg questioned.

“Sage walking with us,” Spice pouted.

“Sure is, do we have a problem?” Sage interjected, bopping out of the screen door with a hand towel around his neck. “And hurry up because it’s getting dark.”

“Ew, put a shirt on. Your bony chest is making my skin crawl,” Spice gagged.

“I know you not talking with them crusty heels.”

“Whoa, not too much on my girl.” Spice clapped her hands.

“Ya girl needs some lotion.”

“You used it all,” she shot back.

“Make sure you hold their hands when yall cross the street,” Logic taunted.

“Sage, if you put them beaters on me, I swear to God I'm going to slap fire from you,” Shugg hissed.

Logic couldn’t form the words to question her about ‘beaters’ because that would lead them down a rabbit hole he wasn’t ready for. It was bad enough he had to walk them through theirfirst period, but the sex talk was off the table until they were twenty-five... maybe thirty.

“Just hurry up back.” Logic shooed them away as his phone vibrated. A sly grin covered his face as the unsaved number moved across the screen.

“I swear if you have my phone cloned, your perverted ass is going to jail,” Tyler barked.

“Fuck outta here. You bumped into me and took my shit. Damn near had me fighting with yo ugly ass nigga just to talk to you.”

“Ew, it’syou.”

“Yea, it’sme. Why you say it like that? You should be a little more upbeat, like hey…it’s you.”

“You’re a shit starter. I’ve been arguing with this man for days because of you. Why would you tell him that?”

“What I say?”

“You know what you said.” Tyler squinted her eyes as if he could see her.

“My memory kinda bad. What I say?” Logic toyed with her. He knew exactly what he said.

“That you’re feeling me,” she mumbled as if she was scared to say it out loud. As if he’d deny it.

“The fuck you whispering for? He next to you? Put me on speaker so I can say it for both of you.”

“Why you being messy?”

“'Cause I don’t like that nigga,” Logic retorted.

“You don’t even know him.”

“I don’t have to know a person not to like them. Energy is everything and ya nigga energy is off. Seems like a hatin’ ass nigga if you ask me. Plus, he played my boy out a beat.”

“So that’s why you said it?” Tyler bit her lip. “You’re trying to get under his skin by flirting with me?”
