Amber kept yelling obscenities at his back, but all that shit went in one ear and out the other. The only thing on his mind was wringing Bobbi’s neck.
“Ain’t this bout a bitch,” Dexter grunted after realizing his phone was dead and he wouldn’t be able to call an Uber. Going back into Amber’s place was a no-go, so with no other option, Dexter put on his shirt and started walking.
???
Bobbi stepped off the elevator and gagged. The deeper she walked into the apartment, the more disgusted she became. Garbage was piled near the entryway, and dishes littered the living room along with empty bottles of liquor and dirty clothing. All of Carla’s boxes were still sitting in the living room, only now they were open and rummaged through. The high-rise was a complete mess, and if she didn’t know any better, Bobbi would have thought it was abandoned.
“Ugh. It stank in here,” she mumbled, almost ditching the idea of getting her belongings, but she was running out of clothes, so with no other choice, Bobbi turned up her nose and trudged through the trashed living room.
Going into the master bedroom, Bobbi cut on the light and almost jumped out of her skin when Dexter walked out of the bathroom.
“Where the fuck you been?” Dexter questioned, drying his hands on a towel before tossing it on the messy bed.
“Dex,” Bobbi gasped, genuinely surprised to see him there.
Since selling half of Tyler’s jewelry, Bobbi had been dodging Dexter like she stole his dope or something. She ignored allhis calls and only went to the high-rise when she knew he wasn’t going to be there. Thanks to the nasty text messages and voicemails from him, Bobbi knew he was out for blood.
“I-I came to get my stuff.”
“Ain’t nothing in the closet yours, so what the fuck you talking about?” Dexter frowned at her. “That’s Tyler shit, or did you forget?”
“You didn’t have a problem with me wearing her stuff before.” Bobbi rolled her neck, placing her hand on her protruding stomach. “What’s the problem now?”
“You stole all her fucking jewelry, that’s the problem!” he barked.
“Oh boy, whatever. I should’ve took yo shit too since you wanna be all laid up with that hoe.”
Dexter didn’t know if she had lost her mind or not, but he was about to help her find the muthafucka. He was so tired of the women in his life disrespecting him. Grabbing her by the forearm, Dexter slung her on the bed, not caring about his child growing in her stomach.
“Who the fuck you think you talking to?” He jabbed his finger in her face.
“Are you serious right now?” Bobbi cried. “I’m pregnant and you just slinging me around like that, seriously?”
“Bitch,” Dexter chuckled. “I don’t give a fuck about this baby. Matter fact, I don’t even think the muthafucka mine. I fucked Tyler raw for years…bust all in her pussy and she ain’t never had a scare.”
“Because she got them sucked out!” Bobbi revealed. “You stay putting her on this pedestal, but she’s just like the rest of these bitches. At least I kept the baby you put in me.”
“What?” Dexter’s heart dropped. He purposely tried to get Tyler pregnant for years, and to no avail, nothing happened. Dexter even went as far as tracking her period, so he’d know when she was ovulating, but again, nothing happened, so he chalked it up as a lost.
“That’s right. She had two abortions and those are the ones that I know about.”
Whap!
He popped her in the mouth.
“And you didn’t say shit?” he thundered, hurt that Tyler would have an abortion behind his back. She really had him thinking something was wrong with his sperm, and the whole time it was her sneaky ass. “Out of all the shit you told me over the years, you left that out?”
“I was minding my business,” she insisted.
“Bobbi please. You don’t know the definition of minding your business because if you did, I wouldn’t be in this fucked up predicament.”
“How are you blaming everyone else but yourself for your fuck ups? Take accountability nigga. You were on bullshit too.”
“Nah, you on bullshit! I had a good thing going with Amber gullible ass and your dumb ass fucked it up.”
“Oh, that’s why you’re mad.” Bobbi chuckled angrily, hopping off the bed. “You’re putting your hands on me because I blew up your spot.”
“Bitch!” Dexter jumped at her. “Blew up my spot?” he repeated. “You did more than that. I was trying to secure a bag and you over here in your fucking feelings. The lease is almost up, and I don’t have no fucking money to renew it. Do you?”
