“I'm talkin' 'bout in ittttttttt,” the twins, Aria, and Tyler sung as Pearl threw her ass in a circle.
“Yo brother hired dancers?” Joey asked Sage, watching Aria and Tyler join Pearl in dancing.
“No, fool,” Sage laughed. He was used to Pearl dancing and throwing her ass whenever she felt a vibe, but Aria and Tyler had him drooling at the mouth. “That’s Tyler though.”
“Tyler who?”
“The singer.”
“Nigga yo brother banging Tyler!” Joey’s eyes doubled in size.
“Aye, loose lips,” Spice called out to her brother. “Change the subject.”
“Shut up!” Sage gave her the finger.
“Throw that Wham all in his face,” Pearl rapped, encouraging Tyler to back it up on Logic. “Wham whammy.”
“Duce, come get yo girl nigga. You just sitting in the car letting this dumb ass song play.” Al frowned.
“This her jam,” Duce chuckled, rolling up the windows.
“Nigga, jam yo ass on. Got people staring at us.”
“Boy bye, you live in the projects, yall used to this kinda shit.” Aria waved him off.
“Is.” Pearl stood up straight. “Hey Loooo, thanks for the invite.”
“You already know.” Logic winked at her. “Let’s board the bus and get this shit popping,” he said, clapping his hands.
One by one, the adults joined the teens on the bus as Lil Baby played over the speakers. Everyone took a seat and listened as the driver gave them a few instructions. The paintball park was an hour away, and while he didn’t mind them moving while he was driving, if they didn’t have to stand up, he preferred them to stay seated.
Sage, Joey, Al, and Duce found their way to the PS5s. Aria and Pearl made drinks, the twins started making TikToks, and Tyler and Logic found seats near the front of the bus. When she tried to sit in her own seat, Logic guided her to his lap.
“What’s up, baby girl?” Logic asked, slouching down into the seat.
“Nothing much. Thank you for inviting me.”
“That’s what boyfriends do…invite their girl on family outings.”
“I’m not your girlfriend.”
“So, you sit on random niggas lap all the time?” He bounced his knee, making her booty jiggle in his lap.
“Sometimes.”
“Don’t get put off this bus before we make it outside Detroit city limits.”
“I'm kidding, just yours.”
“Tell me anything.” Logic twisted his lips.
“How’s the album coming along?” Tyler asked, removing his Detroit fitted hat so she could get a good look at his face.
Per usual, his hair was in need of a cut, but only he could pull off the rough look. Running her hands through his hair, Tyler gazed into his sluggish eyes.
“It’s moving,” Logic yawned.
“Are you tired?” She stroked his beard.
