“Get. The. Fuck. Off. Me.”

“Here.” Dexter released her while pressing a balled-up napkin in her hands.

Snatching away from him, Tyler backed into the house. She didn’t have to look down to see what he placed in the palm of her hand. Tyler’s stomach growled as her mouth watered.

“See, I know what you need. I know how to take care of you.” Dexter reached out to stroke her cheek. “Come home to daddy and let me take care of you.”

“You’re wrong.” Tyler shook her head. “You don’t know how to take care of me. All you know how to do is destroy me.” She jumped back and slammed the door on his arm.

“Ah shit!” he cried out when the wooden door smashed into his wrist. “Fuck!”

When Dexter pulled his throbbing arm out of the doorway, Tyler slammed the door and locked it. Out of breath, she leaned against the door and slid to the floor. With tears in her eyes, Tyler opened her hand. As bad as she wanted to flush the small, colorful pills, the ache in her core wouldn’t allow it. Tyler placeda pill on her tongue and closed her eyes as tears cascaded down her cheeks.

Logic stood by the door watching Duce marvel over his new equipment. When Logic told him that he had some shit for him, he didn’t think it was going to be a new mixing board, speakers, a microphone with a stand, and a few more things. Logic had even gifted Pearl a cute YSL bag with the matching pumps. She cried and jumped into his arms, begging him to carry her across the threshold.

“Bro, I don’t even know what to say.” Duce was overcome with emotions.

“I do.” Pearl twisted over to Logic, throwing her arms around him. “You are the best.” She kissed his cheek. “We can’t thank you enough for everything that you’ve done.”

“I’m just giving back to the people who helped me out when I was down. Duce never charged me for a beat, and you’ve hooked my sisters up plenty of times. I appreciate it all.”

“Aw honey.” Pearl cradled his head. “You know we love you.”

“You might as well suck his dick too,” Duce grunted.

“You want me to?” She peered back at him.

“Bitch!” He jumped at her, making Logic laugh.

“At least she a hoe in your face,” Al snorted.

“Right, I could be out here doing you dirty.” Pearl propped her hand up on her hip. “And don’t worry, the only nigga I'll fold for is Logic.” She winked. “For him, I'd risk it all,” she swore before switching out of the living room.

“I believe her too.” Al shook his head.

“You should,” Pearl hollered out before closing her bedroom door.

“She funny as fuck.” Logic turned his attention back to Duce, who was glaring at him. “What?” he asked.

“The fuck you buying her YSL for? I been copping her Michael Kors from Marshalls and you bring yo lanky ass in here raising the bar.”

“Fuck outta here,” Logic chuckled. “Stop tricking on these hoes and spoil your woman, nigga.”

“Aye chill.” Duce glanced back to make sure Pearl wasn’t in ear shot.

“Scary ass,” Al taunted. “Aight, so are we about to use this shit?”

“When?” Logic asked.

“Right now, the fuck.” Duce was anxious to use his new setup. “Let’s get some shit poppin’,”

“Can I invite a few people over?” Pearl asked, tipping back into the kitchen. “Sounds like we about to have a party.”

“You heard all that behind closed doors?” Al questioned. “Let me find out you got walkie-talkies planted around this bitch.”

“Hush,” Pearl snickered. “Are we having a kickback or nah?”
