I flatten my palm and glide it down, wrapping my fingers around his erection and giving him slow, teasing strokes, tightening my grip with every growl and shudder he gives me.
“I like your kind of explorin’,” he rasps as we both look down between us and watch my hand, his muscles contracting with every stroke.
Austin’s fingers find the back of my neck, gently tilting my head so that our eyes lock together and there’s no holding back the whimper that escapes me. “You feel so…good. So right. But I need more,” I say, my heart thundering against my ribs as my body burns hot from within.
He flips me over onto my back again and braces himself against the bed, rubbing the tip of his nose against mine, the sound of his harsh breaths filling the air.
I stroke him faster, loving the feel of him, but as always, Austin is never about taking without giving, and soon enough his hand is back between my legs, sliding through my slick heat before pressing one… then two fingers inside of me. “I like explorin’youtoo,” he groans. “Need you so damn much, Char.” He crushes his mouth to mine, claiming my mouth in the same way I want him to claim my body.
Tilting my hips, I bring our bodies into line to put him where I so desperately need him. Grabbing his jaw, I hold his mouth to mine, pressing our lips close. "I want you, Austin. I'm yours," I whisper roughly as he drives forward, filling me with one powerful thrust.
His eyes flutter closed with a deep groan that vibrates through him as my body welcomes him in over and over again. When he moves back and bucks his hips again, I lift mine, meeting him thrust for thrust, driving him deeper and making our bodies shudder with pleasure.
There is no need for words after that. Passion, need, and I like to think a little bit of destiny take over. We’re all lips and tongues, hands laced together on the bed, our bodies joining in a way only soulmates can.
He turns primal, desperate, both of us giving, claiming. I make him mine just as he makes me his. Our movements turn hurried, desperate, as if they’re being driven by a power bigger than both of us. His thrusts speed up, our lips touch but we’re not kissing, we’re simply breathing each other in between gasps and groans.
My body tightens in preparation for a release the likes I've never felt before. When Austin's satisfied growl fills the air, I know we're about to crash head first into oblivion together. With my entire body tingling from head to toe and my skin feeling too tight for my body, I don’t even try to fight it. I don't even think I could stop if I wanted to.
“God. Not goin’ to last long. You feel too damn good. Too perfect,” he rasps, swiping his tongue against mine. He shifts his weight to snake a hand between us, stroking his fingers against me in time with his deep drives inside of me, bringing me right to the edge.
Then it hits me like a tidal wave. I grab hold of his shoulders and ride out the most mind-blowing, intense climax of my life.
“Austin!” I cry as he plants himself deep and roars out my name in return.
We slowly ease each other back down from the highest of highs, my body melting into the mattress, Austin’s sagging against mine. My muscles are spent, my body is sated, and my heart is fit to burst.
“Love you,” I pant in his ear, placing a soft sweeping kiss against the sensitive skin there.
"Love you forever, Char," he replies before gently turning my cheek and with our bodies still joined as close as can be, he kisses me soft and slow, loving and caring, looking after me just as I plan to always look after him.
And it. is. absolutely. perfect.
“Best first date re-do ever.”
With Austin by my side, I know that whatever adventures we take, whatever obstacles we’ll face, we’ll always do it together. It’s more than that though, this is the start of our forever, the happy ever after part of our second chance romance.
Besides, the man’s going to build us our dream house, and let me have a menagerie of pets. He’s going to let me give to him just like he gives to others. I’m going to give Austin Graham the best damn life he’s ever dreamed of. And I cannot wait to start.

AUSTIN
One Month Later
“This is a beauty,” Landry says, running his hand over a stained oak shelf. “You’re wasted as a rancher.”
“Not sure if I should take that as a compliment or an insult, brother,” I muse.
“Definitely a compliment. Don’t get me wrong, you love the land just as much as the rest of us, and what we’ve achieved here at Bull and what we’re workin’ toward, it’s somethin’ to be proud of. But the things you make with offcuts and scrap wood, givin’ them all another life? It’s inspired.”
“Thanks.”
He glances over at me. “This is your best yet. Probably because you poured your heart into it.”
“Only the best for my One,” I reply.
He high-fives me. "Amen tothat, brother. They may be our reward, but our women are somethin’ special.”
