Cade started thrusting faster and harder, working us to a fevered pitch again. An old familiar rhythm that always drove us crazy. Our little bubble rang with harsh breaths, naughty promises, and the sensual noise of our sweat-slickened bodies making war.
“I’m going to steal you away.”Thrust. “Marry you.”Thrust. “Spoil you rotten.”Thrust. “Make you my queen.”Thrust. “And rule together.”Thrust. “You with me, Ella?”
“With you, Cade.” I moaned, holding on to him with all my might. “Always.”
He pressed frantic kisses all over my skin like he was desperate for me to understand the depth of his feelings, while making love to me like never before. “I love you.Te amo.Mo ghrá thú.”
My heart glowed, hearing him say he loved me in three different languages. I returned the three words against his warm lips.
My confession sank into the waters of his soul like an anchor and he gazed at me in utter rapture like I was the personification of all his desires.
It wasn’t long before we came together, wrapped in each other’s arms and echoing more words of love.
Cade was created for me.
And I, for him.
After a few more rounds of lovemaking, I was completely spent. A delicious soreness pulsed through my muscles as I lay on my stomach in the silk sheets. Basking in post-coital bliss andfeeling extremely sated and languid.
“What’s got you smiling, Ellie?”
I beamed into the pillow. “You, and how much I’ve missed us.”
“Me too.” Cade pressed a kiss to my hip.
Currently, my boyfriend was propped on his elbow and using my ass like a table as he rolled a joint. Glancing over my shoulder, I caught him smiling and extending it towards me. I grabbed his Zippo from the nightstand and lit the tip.
Cade took a deep puff and exhaled, weed smoke curling out of his mouth.
“You want some?” he asked, handing it over.
I took a drag while he moved up the bed, propping his back against the headboard. He started sifting his fingers through my hair.
“Do you have pictures of Knight on your phone?” I exhaled and passed the joint back to him.
“Yes.” Cade’s eyes lit up and he grabbed his phone. The fact that he still had my picture as his wallpaper turned my insides to mush. Turning his screen my way, I saw a shot of a Doberman puppy.
“Oh my God. He’s so cute.” I squealed, going through each picture and video. The one of him and Olivia rolling around in the living room really did it for me. “I can’t wait to meet him.”
“He’s the sweetest boy. I’ve shown him your pictures on multiple occasions. At this point, he basically knows you’re his mommy.”
I pouted. So adorable. “Can we bring him to the penthouse?”
“Yes. Though fair warning, my family is really besotted with him. We might have to split his time between here and there.”
“Sounds like a plan.” I was imagining us taking Knight for drives with Emilio and Olivia to get ice creams and pup cups for him. “I went over to your place last night, but I didn’t see him.Me, Josh, and the girls were kind of busy doing detective work.”
“Yeah, Josh told me you all kidnapped him and wouldn’t set him free until he helped you find evidence.”
Josh made it sound like we held him at gunpoint. “Did he tell you the part where we made him get on all fours so we could use his back to climb up to Callie’s window?”
Cade was in the midst of inhaling smoke when he burst into a half cough, half chuckle. “No, he did not.” His face scrunched up. “But I read Callie’s disgusting diary entries and I need to wash my eyes with bleach after seeing clips of that amateur porn.”
“Same.” I cringed, remembering the video.
Suddenly, Cade’s features darkened. “I need to tell you something, Ella.”
Not liking his grim tone, I sat up. “What is it?”
