“You simple rube.” Soren couldn’t help the affection in his voice.
Gabe grinned down at him. “You love me.”
Soren did. More than he’d ever thought himself capable of.
“Come on, rube. Take me home.”
LUCIEN BONUS EPILOGUE
Jamie
The sun beating down on Jamie’s back and the ocean’s current gently rocking the boat had him feeling warm, loose, and pliant. Like Jell-O had replaced all his muscles and he might never be capable of standing up again.
Fine by him.
Especially with Luc’s rough fingers tickling the backs of his thighs while he pressed warm kisses to Jamie’s shoulders, steadily cultivating a pleasant hum of arousal in Jamie’s belly.
“Heaven,” Jamie murmured into the broad arm cushioning his head. “This is heaven.”
“I told you Italy would suit you.”
Jamie hummed his agreement, too lazy and contented to form any more words at the moment.
“Now turn over, my sweet. I have something for you.”
Jamie grumbled a protest, which turned into an easy laugh as Luc grew immediately impatient and manhandled Jamie into position on his back himself. Jamie squinted, the sun bright as hell even with his shades in place.
Luc paused there a moment—on his side, his head resting on his free hand—and looked Jamie over lasciviously. Jamie knew he was doing it, despite the sunglasses blocking Luc’s eyes, because he couldfeelit—the tendrils of lust curling through Luc at the sight of Jamie sprawled on his back on the deck.
And no wonder. He’d dressed Jamie in the teeniest, snuggest little black Speedo he could find: Luc’s first purchase once they’d set foot in Europe.
Jamie cocked a brow behind his own shades. “Money well spent?” He shivered as Luc brushed his knuckles along the trail of dark hair that disappeared beneath the Speedo, then circled the tattoo on Jamie’s hip with his finger.
“You have no idea, flower.” Luc proceeded to peel back a bit of the spandex, revealing a strip of much paler skin. “But you’re bound to get some atrocious tan lines here. Perhaps you should sunbathe in the nude instead.”
Jamie huffed, closing his eyes to better enjoy Luc’s wandering hand. “Um, we may be kind of far out, but other boats could still come by.”
“If you had allowed me to rent the yacht I wanted instead of this dingy sailboat, we’d have all the privacy we need.”
Fucking snob. Theirdingy sailboatwas brand fucking new, over forty feet, and more than big enough for the two of them. But Jamie only laughed at his vampire’s snootiness. “We compromised, didn’t we? You get the yacht when my family arrives.”
Jamie couldn’t wait to see the look on his mother’s face. They’d always lived comfortably, no complaints there, but she hadn’t been pampered nearly enough in her life. Jamie was happy to change that for her. He opened his eyes to peer at Luc again. “And it’s weird that vampires can tan at all.”
Luc shrugged, his fingers drifting along Jamie’s hip. “Our hair grows, as do our nails. Our bodies function as they will. And I’m grateful for it. How beautiful you are, skin kissed by the sun.”
Jamie smirked. “Always seducing me.”
“As if you need it.”
True enough. Jamie’s cock was already plumping in his tight Speedo, simply from the effect of having Luc’s eyes on him, his absent-minded touch stroking along Jamie’s skin. “You said you had something for me.” Jamie bent one knee and nudged it against the growing bulge in Luc’s own tiny swim briefs. “It wouldn’t happen to be your dick, would it?”
Luc scoffed at him. “As if I would be so lacking in class.” He smirked down at Jamie. “That’s for later.” He opened his fist, and a flash of green sparkled in the sunlight.
Jamie rose onto his elbows for a better look. “Are those fuckingemeralds?” He gawked at the treasure in Luc’s hold. There was a necklace, a pair of matching little green studs.
“Mm. Jewels for my jewel. They’ll stand out against the outfit I have planned for you tonight.”
“Let me guess…white linen?”
