“Fuck.”
His tongue prodded between my fingers.
My toes curled again, but I pulled them free with a hiss as he gifted the pads with two sharp nips.
“Just a second,” I hollered, but I was pouting.
When he straightened up and tucked his dick away, I huffed. Then huffed some more as he gently lifted the neckline of my dress and helped me sit up once he’d put me to rights.
As the aches from the hard surface made themselves known to me, I grouched, “Why did I want to do this on my desk again?”
Crazier still, why was I beyond ready for round two?!
“Memories?” he teased.
“Oh, yeah. I’ll be happy about it tomorrow.” As I jumped down, already feeling the quickening loss of him inside me, Iyelped when I took some of the blotter with me. The iced tea, safe throughout our endeavors, tumbled over.
Finn managed to snag the glass before the entire contents upended over my desk, laughing all the while. My nose scrunched as I dove for a paper towel from the bathroom. More bothered about cleaning up the mess than myself.
Walking around with Finn inside me was never a hardship…
While I blotted the excess liquid, he joked, “Iced tea isalwaysa bad idea.”
“Definitely chew gum next time,” I grumbled. Then, a random thought hit. “We need to take Jake to see Santa. Aela told me she took Cameron earlier this morning.”
“It’s in my calendar.”
“Did you put it in mine?”
“For the day itself and with two reminders prior.”
“Huh. You’re pretty good at this parenting shit, aren’t you?”
With a wink, Finn pressed a kiss to the fingertips he’d just nibbled on. “I had a good teacher.”
FIVE
“Motherfucker—”
I popped my head out of the living room and, eyes wide, discovered Brennan and Aidan squaring up outside the pool room.
“I told you to back the fuck off.”
“You’re the one who won’t goddamn listen. You give me this role that I never asked for, when I was doing most of the fucking work anyway, and now you have the audacity to?—”
“Brennan?” I uttered his name softly, so as not to surprise either of them.
Just one look and I could tell they’d already been fighting and were on the brink of a rematch.Disheveled clothing aside, they sported various cuts and nicks. From here, I saw how raw each of their knuckles were.
Both heads whipped around to find me, and I simply arched a brow at them.
Gone were the days when either of these men had the power to scare me.
My husband had done too good a job of teaching me how important I was to him.
“I think we need coffee,” I declared when they both just looked at me. “And brownies. I stopped at Aoife’s and picked up some treats. Come into the kitchen.” When they frowned, I narrowed my eyes. “Now.”
Brennan’s nostrils flared, but Aidan shook his shoulders, released a breath, and growled, “Fine.”
