WHEN YOUR EX SHOWS UP AND YOUR FAKE FIANCÉ IS INSIDE OF YOU. #OMGHISREACTION
DAKOTA
Axel’s thumb circled that sensitive bundle of nerves between my thighs as he stared right into my eyes, his other hand cupping my breast.
“You know how gorgeous you are, Sunshine?”
Making love to him on my couch, with me straddling him, wasn’t the plan. The plan had been simple: come here, grab the last of my belongings, and move them into his penthouse. Close this chapter of my life for good.
But we couldn’t seem to keep our hands off each other. We’d made love everywhere in his penthouse. And I mean, everywhere. His kitchen counter. The dining room table. The shower. His office desk. Virtually every surface had been claimed by our desperate need for each other. So, when we came here to retrieve my things, I guess I should’ve seen this coming.
No pun intended.
I grabbed his tattooed shoulders and leaned down, nipping his bottom lip with my teeth. Hard enough to make him growl.
He responded by delivering a sharp slap to my ass, making me yelp at the delicious bite of pain, chased by pure pleasure.
“Every day,” he growled, jerking his hips up to thrust deeply into me hard, fast, and claiming. “I need you every single day of my life, Sunshine.”
“That sounds a lot like a proposal, Mr. Pierce.” I slammed my hips down on him this time, reveling in this push and pull we had going, this intoxicating exchange of control.
“I miss my ring on your finger,” he admitted with another devastating thrust, pinching my nipple between his fingers just hard enough to make me gasp.
“It was just a loaner,” I reminded him.
“Still, I liked seeing it on you; I want everyone to know you’remine.”
Mine. The word echoed through every chamber of my heart, planting seeds that took immediate root. Growing vines through my chest and spreading throughout my entire body.
Making the wave building inside me rise even higher.
“I’m yours,” I assured him breathlessly. “Always.”
A sudden, sharp knock made me jerk to a stop.
“Dakota?” a familiar voice called from the other side of my front door.
Mathew. My ex. You’d think the man who’d once broken my heart would have better things to do than keep trying to contact me. But evidently, when his texts and calls went unanswered, he resorted to showing up here.
Disappointment flooded my system as I stilled, staring down at Axel. We’d been so close to sharing another earth-shattering climax, only to have it interrupted by the last person I wanted to deal with.
“I should?—”
Axel’s large hand clamped over my mouth, cutting off my words. His eyes blazed with something primal and possessive as he shook his head in a silent command. We are not stopping.
I nipped at his finger, earning a wicked smirk as he slowly drew his hand away.
“He’s right on the other side of that door,” I whispered, nodding toward the entrance that was mere fifteen feet from where Axel was buried deep inside me.
Arching one dark eyebrow, Axel thrust his hips up in one sharp, claiming motion. Burying himself so deep, I saw stars.
I sucked in a ragged breath, my nails digging into his shoulders.
Then I glared at him. Axel was playing dirty, and he knew it.
“Dakota?” Mathew knocked again, more insistently this time. “I saw your car in the parking lot.”
Thrust.
