“Ladies, what’s shaking?” she asked.
“We want to know how soon you want to get married, and is it a big wedding, dress, dance, etc., or is it smaller? We’re so excited to celebrate something,” Guru said.
“I don’t want to wait. I want to start the rest of our lives,” Raven said.
“There’s no waiting in Richardson County. You just have to go in Monday and fill out the application, pay your fee, and show your birth certificates,” Hoax said.
“Hmm, had that on the tip of your tongue, did you?” Raven asked.
“I listened in when Twist was talking to Mace. You know he doesn’t tell me everything,” Hoax said.
Fury and Raven looked at each other. They’d tried to listen in on Mace’s office four months ago when they’d ticked him off. They’d wanted to see how mad he was. There wasn’t any way to listen in unless Hoax had bugged her husband’s office.
Raven tilted her head, waiting for Hoax to continue.
“If you guys rat me out, I’ll get you back somehow,” Hoax said.
“How?” Fury asked.
“I embedded two microphones. One in the picture frame of him, Axel, and Charity. And one in his desk chair just in case he finds the first one. I only turn it on when I really need to know what’s happening,” Hoax said, blushing.
Raven adored her Honey Creek Girls. They might be older, but they’d always have each other’s backs.
“So let’s plan on next Friday for the wedding if the pavilion at the park isn’t reserved for anything else. I want a biker wedding with me in jeans and a cut. I’ve never been a girl who liked dresses, and Twist isn’t going to care,” Raven said.
“Got it. Leave it to us. You only need you, Twist, and the license,” Daydream said.
The girls left and Raven looked around for Twist. She should probably tell him that their wedding was planned. He wouldn’t care. He wanted to give her the world, and a wedding was small time compared to the world.
Love really could change the world. It had changed everything for her.
Chapter Eighteen
Twist finished wrapping the last present. The week before their wedding had flown by. He grinned at his girl’s antics of a low-key wedding. They’d been waiting at the office for it to open on Monday morning to get their wedding license. After that, they’d picked up breakfast from Annie’s Bakery and rode to the park to relax a little.
As soon as he’d found out about the shortened time before their wedding, Twist had instructed Snipe to buy all the items and pay for expedited shipping. The last item had arrived that morning.
He placed the presents in the closet of the RV. Booker and Lexi had brought their RV for Twist and Raven to use for their trip. Booker just suggested Twist not make an outdoor breakfast for Raven if he was in Yellowstone. Twist still chuckled at the video of Booker and the bison in Yellowstone.
He and Raven were taking a road trip for their honeymoon, along with some storm chasing. The RV could tow Storm Sweeper, so they’d be prepared for anything.
They’d picked places to visit that they’d enjoy. There were some historical sites, places to buy Legos, and a couple Harley shops. He loved his motorcycle but since his didn’t have a comfortable place for Raven, he’d been planning on having it modified. She’d nixed that and said she liked the amount of storage he had if she wanted to ride her own motorcycle for trips.Instead, they were stopping at a couple Harley dealerships to purchase a new one or new-to-them one that they could both be comfortable on.
“It’s time,” Booker yelled from the doorway.
Despite it being short notice, a large amount of his Bluff Creek family had made the trip, plus some of his friends in the Saint’s Outlaws.
He checked in the mirror one more time to make sure his cut was good. He’d received his cut on Wednesday. Due to the co-ed nature of the club, he and Raven had done what Hoax and Mace did. Each had aProperty ofpatch on their cut.
He walked out into the sunshine and toward her family’s barn. Raven’s dad had moved his classic cars so they could use the barn for the wedding. Seats had been set up,but a large number of people were standing along the back and the side walls. He smiled at Dex sitting by Fury. When Dex had arrived on Wednesday, he’d picked up the gun range’s order in Kansas City before arriving. Fury had been with the ATF before leaving, so she knew her guns. They’d spent the morning checking out some of the ones that were used. She’d been quite impressed with Dex being able to shoot accurately with either hand. But then, that’s where his name had come from.
He and Raven had decided not to have anyone stand up with them. Otherwise, it would be the whole club because she couldn’t choose. Her dad was walking her down the aisle.
Daydream’s little boy was their ring bearer. He ran up to Twist holding the box they had the rings in.
“I gots them,” Lane Jr. said.
“You do. I appreciate you keeping them safe,” Twist said, bending down. Raven was close with the kids. She and Twist had babysat the kids on Tuesday.
