Her hips are moving, and she swats at my chest. “Yes…”

I slide my fingers back down her pants, lingering on her clit, pulling those moans from her mouth that spur me on. Her pleasure. She’s soaked. My fingers slide in, and her hips buck. It didn’t take long for her to be squeezing her pussy around my fingers.

“Kai, your fingers feel like magic,” she whimpers while she pushes her hips onto me in a rhythm that speeds up with every motion. Her pants faster, more out of control, and when she falls apart around my fingers. I want nothing more than to have my mouth on hers.

I tug her head to me. Our lips crash in a frenzy while she moans on my lips, feeling her stomach tensing against my forearm. Still, her entire body relaxes, but our mouths never stop; she brings her hands and places them on my face. My hands roam her body, from her silky hair straight to her ass, grabbing onto both cheeks tightly, pulling her into me.

When our kiss slows, our lips don’t want to stop, and our tongues swipe in sync. I could stay here with her for hours, yet it would be more comfortable in my bed. A place I can truly worship her body the way she deserves. I whisper against her lips, “You ready to get out of here?”

Still holding my face, she says with a smile on her face. “I am.”

I lift the seat as she slides back onto her seat.

“I’ll follow you home.” She steps out, and I watch her sway those hips all the way to her car. The attraction we have to each other is undeniable. We can’t keep our hands off each other, and I seem to come in my pants.

Right when I walk through the door, I’m taking a shower. I shake my head at myself as I drive home, watching her follow me in my rear-view mirror.

I park in the driveway, slide out, and wait for her. When she’s close enough, I snag her hand and we head inside.

“Make yourself comfortable. I need to shower, and I’ll be back down. Unless you want to sit out on the balcony?”

She pats my cheek. “The drive here had me thinking about how much I love spending time with you.”

“And I love spending time with you. We can take the boat and talk while we putt around the lake.” I place my hand on hers.

“I’m ready.”

“Give me ten.” We both hurry up the stairs, me, so I can take a shower and clean myself up. Her, so she can enjoy the views from the balcony.

When we enter my room, I tug her wrist to me. “Sure, you don’t want to?” I can see her contemplating.

“Maybe next time, handsome.” She pats my chest with her other hand and rests it on my chest. We stand there a little dazed, but she snaps her gaze away first. “I’ll be out there when you’re done.”

It took less than ten minutes to shower and put on clean clothes. I stroll out onto the balcony and see her relaxing on the sofa. “Ready, sweetheart.”

We stroll down the yard to the boat with drinks and snacks in hand. She hops on the boat as I lower the lift into the water. Holding ontoit, I jump in as the water sloshes up against the boat. I start it up and I back out, ready to take my time around the lake. I want all the time with her.

Watching her hair blow in the wind and the sun shining on her, she’s like an angel. “I could do this every day with you.” I clear my throat. “My heart aches when you aren’t around. I’ve fallen for you, I actually fell for you the moment you said yes to me when I invited you to come over and hang out in my hot tub.”

She slides over; her hand touches my thigh. “I’m pretty sure that’s when I fell for you, too.” Her eyes glance up at me, sparkling. I’m certain I saw adoration flash through them. My fingers lace with hers. I don’t want her to change her mind about us. There’s a small part of me that thinks maybe I’m not enough for her. When I look in her eyes again, I shake those thoughts out.

“Thank you for taking a chance on me. You didn’t have to when you left. Actually, I thought you had run away from what felt right, like we were on the same page, but then you were gone.” I squeeze her hand, picking it up to kiss her fingers.

She swallows hard. “Going to Virginia Beach was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up, but…” Clearing her throat, she continues, “A part of me was running.” Her eyes shift to the floor.

I’m not having that. I lean over, and with my free hand, tilt her face toward me with my fingers. “Why were you running?”

“It’s what I do when anyone gets too close to me. Kai, it was different. I’ve never felt so seen as when I’m with you. You listen to my every word, you cherish me, you’ve been my friend.. It’s been a push and pull.” Her eyes flutter closed, then open, almost with a sadness taking over them. “I’m not good at staying and really didn’t want to get your hopes up…or mine.”

“What changed your mind?” I move my seat back and tug her onto my lap, wrapping my arms all the way around her while I listen and memorize every word.

“There were too many signs that pointed for me to stay this time. You know, I told you that I had been contemplating it, but things never fell into place like they did this time.” She strokes her thumb along her collarbone as she takes a deep breath. Letting the silence hang in the air, waiting for her to share some more. I have a front-row seat to how she thinks, her rationale—I’m all about it.

In his arms, my body is calm and comforted, exactly how I want to be as I share my truth with him, full of complexities. “Or I was ready to see the signs.” I nod. “Seeing you last Saturday at the baby shower, the need to be in your strong arms, to be held by you, was overwhelming. It was like my body and my heart couldn’t ignore the pull.”
