“That’s why I’m calling you. Check out the post I just made. I can’t decide.”
“Goof. You’ll look good in anything. But hold on and let me look.”
I flipped through some of the options while I waited for him to check it out. “Hurry up, Tuck. I don’t have all night. Also, what are you wearing?”
“Jeans. Those soft ones with the rips on the thighs that hang low on my hips.”
“Good choice.”
“I don’t know what top yet. Haven’t decided. But for you…it’s too cold for booty shorts, scratch them.”
“Only cold outside. It’ll be hot in the club.”
“Eh…you’ll complain.”
I tossed the two pairs I had out back in the closet. “Okay. Next?”
“I don’t know. There’s a lot of black on that bed, but maybe pick something with color. Oh, did you dye your hair again?”
“Yes. Still purple.”
“Then pick something to go with that.”
“I don’t know. I think it’ll clash. And I don’t have purple pants.” I laughed, imagining what purple pants would even look like on me. “Hm…gold goes well with purple and would make my gray eyes look more dramatic. How about this?” I flipped on my camera so he could see what I picked.
“Uh, yeah.” The shirt was kind of slinky and loose but still elegant. “What pants? I mean black, but…”
The shirt would be on the warm side, so I picked the black and gray pair that had snaps running down the outside of each leg. I could strategically open a few to get some airflow. “How’re these?”
“That works. Yeah. Let me see your hair.”
“Okay.” I flipped the phone around and smiled brightly at Tucker, who smiled right back.
“I’m so excited for you, Joey. Really. I’m glad you found Vince. Now maybe rub up against me at the club so I can get some of that daddy-luck off you.”
“Goof. Now what top are you wearing?”
We worked through a bunch of options, eventually picking a long-sleeve black shirt with strategic shredding all over. And with that, we hung up.
All our friends would be there, including Levi and his daddy. And I wondered if my friend from my last job, Ben, would like to come too. I shot him a text. We hadn’t really stayed in touch, but maybe this would get him to come out.
“Joey?” Vince called from downstairs. “Are you dressed yet? Want to eat something first?”
I looked at the time. Yep, plenty of it. “Yes, Daddy! Be right there.” I put away all the clothes I wasn’t wearing and made a quick post of what I’d picked, holding the shirt up to my chest and winking. Then left it on the bed to go get food. I didn’t want to get anything on my outfit.
This was my first big celebration at Afterglow, and I was excited. Not only did I have a sexy boy to celebrate with, but a lot of people I considered good friends, including Larry, Hudson, and Braxton. The only one missing was Grant, since he couldn’t be here. I would have loved to have him with me, though. I needed a plan to get him to settle near me. I’d fallen in love with this area before I moved here, and I’d fallen even harder every day since I had. There was always a ton of stuff to do, or nothing at all if I wanted to simply enjoy my back deck and pool.
But we were running late. “Joey. Come on, boy. Time to go.” It was the third time I’d called him.
Finally, he came down the stairs. He hadn’t wanted me to watch him get ready, and now I knew why. He made quite an entrance, walking down the stairs. He was elegant and fun all in one with his purple hair, sparkling gray eyes, done up with the perfect makeup, and sophisticated clothes. He was sexy as hell, earning him a long wolf whistle.
He smiled and blushed, making the top of his cheeks pink up a bit. “Thanks, Daddy. I’m ready.”
His lips were shiny with gloss, but I leaned in and kissed them anyway. “You taste like cherries.”
“It’s the gloss.” He held up a tube and giggled as he reapplied it. “I better bring it in case you eat it off all night.”
“Good call.” And I kissed him again.
