Joey laughed and ran his fingers through my hair. “Try again a little slower. Maybe don’t take so much. I’m not thick, but I’m long.”
“You sure are.” I puckered my lips and kissed the top before taking his advice. Soon, I was bobbing over him with one hand jerking the base.
“Ah…Daddy, so good. Yeah…like that.” He started thrusting his hips forward and back as I moved, until finally, he moaned louder. “Gonna…now, Daddy!”
He may have been warning me to give me the option, but I wanted it. I took everything he offered, swallowing several times before pulling off and looking up at him.
“That was so good.”
I pulled his jock and pants back up, helping him get adjusted. “Good.” I stood and wrapped him up in my arms.
“You want—”
“No. Next time. I meant what I said about going slow.”
He made a frustrated little sound in his throat. Then found his shirt and pulled it on, inside out. “I think if we’re sticking to that, you should probably take me home.”
“Yep. You’re right.” I kissed his forehead. For a minute, I wondered what the hell I was thinking, or why I was thinking it. I had a warm and willing partner right in front of me, literally in my arms. Maybe it was me who needed to go slow, or maybe I felt like he did. Either way, I was trusting my gut. “Come on, Joey. Let’s go. Next time…”
“As long as there is a next time.”
“I really want that.”
“Me too, Daddy.”
Chapter nine
November
We set up a cookout and pool party for Daddy Vince’s birthday. We decided to keep the guest list to mostly the Afterglow family, and one just walked through the front door. I pulled Levi into a big hug. “Thanks for coming.”
“Hey. Of course, we wouldn’t miss it.”
His boyfriend, Hudson, walked up behind him and shook my hand. He’d become good friends with Vince, so I was happy he was here. “Where’s the man of the hour?”
I waved toward the back of the house. “Mingling, I think. Go on back.”
Hudson gave Levi a quick peck on the lips before passing him in the foyer. Of everyone attending, I probably knew Levi best since we played together a good bit at the club, but that was still superficial. But maybe that was my fault.
“Hey, Levi. We should get together for a play date sometime.”
“That would be so fun. Maybe next week?”
“Yes. I’d love that.”
“I’ll tell Daddy Hudson to call Vince to set it up.” He held up a hand for a high-five, and I slapped it.
We joined the party, and more people came. Even Crow and Skyler, who were fucking around in the pool with a few of their friends whom I didn’t know. We had told them to bring whoever they wanted as long as they gave us a head count. But I trusted that if any of us used terms likedaddyorboy, no one would blink, and I wanted it to be a safe space for anyone attending. Watching them splash around made me realize I was totally over Crow. There hadn’t ever been anything between us except my own imagination.
Jax Hoadley and his partner, Ward Predmore, were rich and connected, making them perfect for the fundraiser, too. I led them to the back patio and made sure they had drinks. “I haven’t checked the RSVP for the gala, but I hope you’ll be able to attend.”
Jax smiled, his mismatched eyes sparkling in the sun. “Oh yes. It sounds like a great evening. We’re so in.”
Ward squeezed Jax’s shoulders. “It’s definitely a cause we’re adding to our philanthropy list.”
“Fantastic. I’m glad to hear it. Thanks.”
“No need for thanks. I’m thrilled you included us.” Jax was a nice-looking man, probably around my age, if not a little older.
