My girls aregone.

Grief has become my newest friend as I wallow in the feeling.

Living feels useless.

A world that seemed brighter the moment my little devil and firefly walked into it is now pitch back.

Any hope I had in those first initial days is now lost to the wind.

I feel as though I am a shell of who I once was.

My brothers don’t fare much better.

I have hardly seen Vic. Losing another love, one being a child, has been too much to bear.

Olis is the only one of us who has seemed to be able to keep a level head in all of this. While he has shed his fair share of tears, something I have never seen him do before, he hasn’t given up yet.

I watch from the corner of the office as he frowns down at the laptop in front of him. He hasn’t stopped scouring the surveillancethat we were able to obtain. I have already been over the documents more than once, paying attention to each second of film.

But it was no use.

There was no surveillance recorded from the moment we entered the club over three weeks ago.

Just when we thought we were good, it appears that someone was better.

Much fucking better.

Olis slams his hand down on the table, his growl echoing through the room. Lifting a hand to his chest, he rubs the spot, feeling the emotions of whatever Valley is feeling.

While we have practically nothing on where our Omega has gone, at least we know that she is alive.

Somewhere.

I curse, and not for the first time, that I didn’t claim Valley during her heat. I had wanted to give her a heat that she didn’t come to from with a bond that she didn't want.

I wanted her to say yes to me. Wanted so desperately to hear that she wanted me just as much as I want her.

But now that chance is gone.

Continuing to wallow in my heartbreak, I don’t realize that Olis has found something.

With a shove of my shoulder, I find an emotionless Alpha standing over me.

“What? What is it?” I say as I quickly get to my feet.

Olis remains quiet for a few moments before his eyes glaze over.

My heart thumps in my chest as I wait for something. Anything.

My pack brother eventually puts me out of my misery after what feels like a lifetime.

“I don’t know how she did it but Valley just mind-linked with me.”

My jaw drops as I stare at him blankly. I force a swallow that feels like nails but I don’t give it anytime.

“W-w-what did she say? Where is she? Is she okay? Is Firefly okay? Who the fuck has her?”

Olis’ eyes go glassy again, continuing to speak with our girl.
