“Tilly and Carri have it covered, I think,” Lottie said, sounding nervous.
Studying her, Travis wondered if she was having second thoughts about being with him. It looked like they needed to talk before the day got started.
With other vendors were arriving through the front entrance to the ballroom he didn’t think they could find any privacy in that direction. Looking around, he spotted a door along the back wall of the room. Maybe there was somewhere back there they could be alone for a few minutes.
“Come on, sugar,” he said, holding out a hand.
Lottie frowned even as she stepped closer, though she kept her hands at her side. “Why? Where are we going?”
“Trust Daddy, Lottie-love.”
He added a single thread of dominance to his tone, but it was enough to push Lottie into placing her hand on top of his. Lacing their fingers together, he stepped into the aisle and headed toward the back of the room. Lottie walked beside him without question or hesitation, providing him with more proof that she was a Little, even if she did not let that side of her personality out very often. She just needed someone to take over and allow her to be Little.
Once they were through the door and in a wide hallway beyond the wall, Travis looked around. It took a moment to findwhat he was looking for. There were no closets, but there were several carts stacked high with tables and chairs that formed a wall to their left. Pushing one of the carts away from the others, he created a space just big enough for the two of them to use for a few minutes of privacy.
“What are you doing?” Lottie asked as he led her into the small space.
“What are you doing, Daddy?” he corrected.
“What are you doing, Daddy?” Lottie parroted, her voice a bit higher and lighter than it had been just moments before. Her Little was pushing forward, which could be good or bad since she had a day of selling candy ahead of her.
“Finding us a bit of privacy.”
With that simple explanation, Travis spun them around so his back was to the open hallway. Pulling her close, he wrapped both arms around her and kissed her.
The kiss went from a light and sweet good morning greeting, to deep, intense, and not suitable for a public space. When he traced his tongue over her lips, she parted them, welcoming him in. He held her securely and moaned into her mouth when she pressed her body more firmly against his.
He had to break the kiss when she began to make sexy sounds that a mere kiss could not contain.
They needed privacy, and from the sounds of people talking around them, this was not the place to find it.
“Good morning, Lottie-love,” he whispered, looking down into Lottie’s heavy-lidded eyes.
She had to swallow twice and clear her throat before she could whisper back. “Good morning, Daddy.”
“Join me for dinner tonight.”
“Okay, but I have to check into our hotel first so we don’t lose the room.”
“Great, I’ll drive you. That way your sister can keep the car. Then we’ll go out to dinner so we can talk about things.”
“Things?”
“Yes. Things like rules and consequences, your Little and the rest of our lives.”
He gave her one last quick kiss, but pulled away before things could get out of control again.
Chapter Six
Kissing Travis was a magical experience. His lips on hers wiped her brain clean of all thoughts, worries, and anything beyond the bubble that engulfed them any time they were within three feet of one another.
When he broke the kiss and took a half-step back, she tried to follow and kiss him again, but she was too short. Huffing a grumpy sigh, she stomped her foot in anger.
“Did you just stomp your foot at me?” he asked with a smirk.
Lottie looked from him to her foot and then back again. The quick movement made her dizzy and she found herself wobbling as her knees turned to cooked noodles. Before she could fall, Travis had her pressed against his body, his strong arms wrapped around her once again.
“Answer Daddy, little Lottie. Did you stomp your foot at me?”
