“Right? He’s absolutely lovely. I think you’ll adore him. Maybe you’ll even pick him to be your regular practitioner. His family hosted Dr. Darling overseas a long time ago, and Dr. Darling’s family hosted him. Long history aside, he’s an exceptional doctor.”

I listened to her babbling about the connection between the two doctors so that I wouldn’t have to fret about meeting someone new. Thank goodness there was no one else in the clinic. Everleigh squeezed my arm as she led me to exam room three. She also seemed to understand why I was wearing anightgown without any leggings with just boots and socks in the blustery weather.

“I didn’t want to risk the plug getting jostled or worse,” I explained, gesturing to my bare legs. “I laid in the backseat on my tummy while Daphnee drove.”

Everleigh helped me onto the exam table, setting my feet in the stirrups so that my lower half could be examined intimately. I scooched myself down a little without putting pressure on the plug.

“That was so smart, Savvy!”

“I thought so.” I loved that almost everyone referred to me as my Little nickname so that I could relax more. She took a minute to check my blood pressure and affix the O2 sensor to one of my index fingers.

“I have a few sheets to drape over you, but no robes are available. Sorry about that.”

“No worries,” I said casually, brushing my eyes and trying to stop the tears.

“Your numbers are perfect, but your pulse is a little high. Are you in pain, honey?”

“No, no. I’m just embarrassed. I tried to get it out but it’s really stuck! No matter what angle I attempted. Daphnee came over and tried to help too. She deserves to be at the top of Santa’s nice list for her dedication. Anyway, I mean, she was going to help me, but she was worried that she’d cause damage. I’m so sorry, I never thought this would happen.” I took a few breaths to calm my nerves and stop chattering at Everleigh a million miles an hour. Even though she needed to know what happened it felt like I was oversharing.

“Don’t worry. You came to the right place. I’ll get the doctor and we’ll figure it out. Try to breathe, and relax as much as you can.” Everleigh stuck her head out of the door, then laughed lightly. “Over here. Yes, Dr. Thorsen. Vitals are great. Pulse is alittle high, but still normal.” She stepped inside again, motioning over her shoulder. “As I was saying, you haven’t met the new doctor yet. He moved here from upstate. Lots of ice and snow,” she prattled on, but when he stepped into the doorway my breath caught in my throat.

When I’d joked about his name sounding like that of a Viking, I hadn’t realized how spot-on my guess was.

No, no, no.

I blinked in shock as Bram closed the door behind him. Except instead of a funny Christmas sweater, he had on navy scrubs that outlined every single yummy muscle on his body. I pinched the webbing in between my thumb and index finger.Nope. Not dreaming. He was the only doctor available in my most embarrassing moment! This had to be a terrible joke being played by the universe.

Bram, known apparently as Dr. Bram Thorsen at the clinic, rubbed his hand across his mouth as he studied my chart. Recognition flickered across his eyes as he glanced at me before dropping into the professional mask all the doctors wore.

“Hello, Savannah. I’d say it’s nice to meet you but I heard you have an entire Christmas tree stuck in a very uncomfortable place.”

“Hello, Dr. Thorsen,” I said muttering into my chest as I dropped my chin. “I’d have to agree meeting under these circumstances aren’t great. Also, it’s not a real tree but a plug.” I understood that he was joking and his sense of humor lightened my mood a tiny bit.

“I hate that your holiday spirit was thwarted by a toy that’s not playing nice.”

“Something like that.” Glancing at Everleigh, I looked at her for support.

Everleigh, sensing my discomfort, moved to my head, rubbing it gently.

“I promise you’re in good hands, sweetie,” she cooed, but my eyes were locked on Bram.

“How far away is Dr. Callahan?” I couldn’t believe this was happening and my voice came out squeaky and stressed. Not that I wanted him all up in my private places either, but it would be better than Bram being the one to examine me.

Everleigh glanced at Bram questioningly then at her watch. “About twenty minutes. The roads aren’t great. We really don’t want to risk the object going any further inside you, Savvy. But of course, your comfort is our priority.”

The tears that had been steadily falling, fell even faster. The embarrassment, though mild and uncomfortable, seemed unbearable. “I… I understand.”

“The longer it stays in, the bigger chance there is of causing damage. There isn’t any natural lubrication, so little tears or fissures are possible. May I examine you, Savannah?” Bram moved closer, sitting down on a small stool with wheels. “I’ll be gentle, we aren’t yanking foreign objects out. I promise.”

Mortification burned through me, bringing heat to my face. But then I remembered that Bram had already seen every part of me. He’d spanked me, worshipped my clit, and brought me to climax multiple times. He’d already seen my bottom, including my asshole, even if he hadn’t touched me there.

Doctors weren’t allowed to date guests, but it was an unusual set of circumstances. Besides, I had ghosted him and we weren’t in a relationship. I had a funny feeling that all that might change after he touched me again, even in a clinical way.

“Yes, please, Dr. Thorsen,” I managed.

“I’m not going to attempt to remove it without making sure you’re relaxed as much as possible. Let me see what’s going on,” he said quietly as he folded the sheets up to my thighs.

“It’s shaped like a Christmas tree,” I said as if he wasn’t looking at it.
