“What are you looking at?” she asked.

“You look damn fine wearing just my shirt. That should be your uniform for whenever I’m here.”

“I have to wear a uniform for you now?” she asked.

“Yep. But I’m a reasonable guy, so I’ll give you a selection to choose from.”

She reached for another slice of bacon. I tugged the hand towel from the stove handle and swatted her across the ass with it.

“I’m thinking maid uniform, nurse uniform, stripper uniform.”

She laughed, rolling her eyes. “How kind of you, sir. What exactly is a stripper uniform?”

“Whatever I want it to be, but tassels and edible underwear should definitely be involved.”

“You are such a dog, Link.”

I grabbed her by my shirt, holding on to steal a kiss. Coffee, bacon, and Emily, her mouth was quite possibly the best thing I’d ever tasted. My hand drifted down to rub her folds, and I mentally corrected myself. Second best thing I’d ever tasted.

Emily pressed herself against my fingers, moaning into my mouth as I deepened the kiss. Then she jumped back, swatting at my hands.

“No. None of that. I need to shower and get dressed.”

“Want help?” I offered.

“Tempting, but no. I’ll never leave if we start that.”

I let my gaze drift down to her bare thighs. “I don’t know about you, but I could go for another sex marathon.”

“Stop that right now.” She backed away from me. “I have an arraignment hearing at ten.”

I had shit to do, too, but a man could hope.

Emily fled from the kitchen, and seconds later the shower started.

I finished up breakfast and took my turn at the shower. By the time I emerged, Bull was sitting at the kitchen table, eating with Emily.

“You have a good time?” I asked, knowing full well he had. Eagle had been watching over the kid and kept me abreast. Last I’d heard, Bull and Lacy were heading for his room.

He grinned, nodding. “That was some party. You should have been there, Prez.”

Emily was already dressed in slacks and a blazer with her hair up in a bun. I stopped behind her chair, bending down to take her chin in my hand and plant a passionate kiss on her lips. She tensed, no doubt embarrassed about the kid watching us, but then she opened her mouth to me, and I plunged right in. I needed this, and Bull needed to know where Emily and I stood. I wanted my property patch stretched across her back, but this would have to do until she was ready for that.

We broke apart, and a faint blush colored her cheeks as she reached for her coffee cup.

“I had better things to do,” I said, standing.

“We should get going,” Emily said, putting her cup down. “You almost ready, Bull?”

They cleared the table and I gave her one last kiss before the three of us headed out.

When I got back to the station, Wasp was leaned up against the wall. The second I parked, he peeled off and headed straight for me. His expression seemed excited and hopeful, so I took off my helmet and held it on my lap, waiting to find out if I’d have to head back out for something.

“What’s going on?” I asked. “Did they find the girl?”

“Notthegirl, butagirl.” He grinned.
