“Um, do you mean this nose?”
They all turned to Rafael who held up a red ball of fluff.
“Yes!” Immy cried.
“Immy, pretty sure that’s off your hat,” Jenner told her.
“What?”
Tobias drew off her hat and they all stared at the missing pompom. Then over to what looked to be a pompom in Rafael’s hand.
“That’s a pompom?” Immy asked.
“Looks like one to me.” Rafael squeezed it and Immy squealed and covered her eyes. But then he just held it back out to her.
She took it and sighed with relief. “I didn’t kill Rudolph?”
“Baby, you weren’t even close to hitting that deer,” Jenner reassured her.
“We’re more worried about you,” Tobias added.
“I think that is enough sledding for today,” Alejandro announced as Rafael grabbed the sled and dragged it down the hill. “Time to warm up and rest.”
Yes. That’s exactly what Immy needed to do. After he checked her over.

“Daddy, I’m fine!”Immy said as Jenner inspected every inch of her skin while she sat in a warm bubble bath. “I’m not sore at all. I just had a bit of a fright.”
“Because you thought you’d run over Rudolph,” Tobias said.
Were his lips twitching? She thought she’d seen them twitch.
“Are you laughing at me?” she demanded.
“Me?” Tobias said as he held a hand on his chest. “Never, Cherry.”
“I feel like it was a legitimate concern!” Immy told him as Jenner had her lie back so he could check her feet and legs. He was being extremely thorough.
“Daddy!” she cried as he ran his fingers over the bottom of her foot. She attempted to tug her foot away but he held on tight.
“What? What is it? Does something hurt?”
“No! It tickles.”
“Oh, is that all,” Jenner replied.
“Is that all? That’s a big deal!” she exclaimed. “It tickles.”
“I thought you were hurt. Turn over onto your hands and knees. I need to check out your bottom.”
Immy gaped at Jenner. “What?”
“Yes, Cherry, let’s see your bottom,” Tobias added, his eyes dancing.
Oh, he was liking this too much! She glared at him.
“And you might want to stop staring at me like that or I might just decide to stick something up that naughty bottom,” Tobias added.
