And so fucking good.
I’m not going to last much longer, and when I murmur as much into Sean’s ear, he clenches around me and I’m done. I grip his shoulders as my orgasm roars through me, wave after wave of the most intense pleasure.
It takes me a second to get myself together enough to pull out of him, dispose of the condom and roll Sean onto his back. I waste no time shuffling down the bed, and he cries out as I take his cock in my mouth, two fingers sliding back inside him.
He fists my hair, hips arching off the bed as I take him over the edge with my mouth and my hands.
“Fuck,Vic...”
It’s all the warning I get before he’s coming. His body goes rigid as he empties into my mouth for what feels like forever before relaxing with a huff of laughter.
“Jesus.” He laughs again and I look up at him, resting on my elbows.
I raise my eyebrows. “Not quite the reaction I was going for.”
He rubs both hands over his face before leaning up to look at me, sporting a huge smile. “That was...” He shakes his head and reaches for me.
I crawl up the bed to lie next to him with my head on the other pillow.
“Fucking amazing,” he whispers, leaning in for a kiss.
“It was, wasn’t it?” My smile matches his and we just stare at each other, grinning like idiots.
I don’t even care.
Everything about this moment is perfect and I don’t want it to end.
SEAN
“Can I ask you something?”We’ve just finished dinner, and both of us are curled up on the sofa with a beer. It feels like an ideal time to discover more about Vic’s life.
“Sure.” He sets his beer on the coffee table and gives me his full attention.
“You and Hailey. How did that happen? How long were you together?”
“Erm.”
“You don’t have to answer,” I add quickly. “Just tell me to mind my own business.”
“It’s not that,” he says, shaking his head, and he doesn’t seem bothered by my curiosity. “It’s been so long. I’m just trying to remember.”
I play with the label on my bottle. “I always used to think you two were together. It was a surprise to find out that you weren’t. At least not then.”
Vic sighs. “When you left, I was gutted. Probably way too much for someone I’d only just got together with.” He mutters the last part and I reach for his hand.
“If it makes you feel better, I was pretty fucking gutted too.”
His smile is soft as he meets my gaze. “It does actually.” He tugs our joined hands onto his thigh, his thumb stroking back and forth over my fingers. “Hailey and I spent a lot of time together after that. She was one of my best friends and she did her best to cheer me up and drag me out of the house to stop me moping. It was easy between us, comfortable. I think we both liked the companionship more than the sex—not that it was bad—but it wasn’t all-consuming passion, either.” He sighs, smile turning wistful. “We loved each other, but I don’t think we were everin love. Then Hailey got pregnant—thank you tequila—and we had the bright idea of getting married.”
“While you were both at uni?” I’m not sure exactly how old Joe is, but I’m pretty sure he’s around seventeen.
“Yeah. She had him right at the end of our final year, in July, and we got married the following October.”
“Wow.” I mean I knew that they’d married young, but hearing Vic talk about it makes it seem more real. “What happened?” He’s already told me the gist of it, but I’m greedy for more. I want to know everything about him, and this is a huge part of his life.
“Well, since both our families are from Nottinghamshire, we moved back up north, and they all helped out while we got ourselves sorted. I wouldn’t change that time for anything because we were happy, and Joe was the best baby.” He grins, clearly remembering. Then his smile dims a bit. “But it was pretty obvious after a while that we weren’t... well, let’s just say we weren’t your average newlyweds.”
I suddenly feel like I’m being way too nosy. He and Hailey might be best friends now, but this part of his life clearly still holds some painful memories. “It’s okay,” I say, squeezing his fingers. “I’m sorry for bringing it up.”
