Ah, why can’t I just grab him and slip away into the bathroom, tuck it up his hole once more? A little spit would do the trick. We’ve done that plenty oftimes.
Of course, every time I notice Ty dancing nearby, I recall why that’s out of thequestion.
But the way Jesse’s moving to this Britney Spears song, it’s nearly impossible to keep my hands to myself. Is this even Britney Spears? Or Gaga, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, or Halsey… Fuck if I know thedifference.
Jesse moves close to me, and I tighten my fists, restraining myself from ravaging him in front of myson.
“You sure your friend’s coming?” Jesseasks.
“He’ll be here. He hasn’t texted, and as much as he might flake on stuff, he’ll let me know if he can’t make anengagement.”
Even as the wordengagementescapes my lips, I know why it did…because of how much that’s been weighing on my thoughts, even more so since I bought thering.
I check for some tell. Jesse’s damned good at reading me, but I’m glad I’m not too obvious about that, probably because it’s not something he’s expecting. I’m relieved because I want to surprise him. I want to make this something he’ll alwaysremember.
God, I want him to say yes. I can’t imagine him denying me, but even if he does, I don’t care. I’ll wait forever forhim.
We dance some more before Ty heads to the bar to grab usdrinks.
I make sure he isn’t looking, and when I turn to Jesse, he must see the determination all over my face because he asks, “What?”
But I just kiss him, holding him close to me, needing him so much. He doesn’t resist, and we kiss and lick and nibble before I remind myself to show some goddamned restraint. When I pull away, he gasps, and I take a heavybreath.
“You’d think we hadn’t already worked that out earlier,” Isay.
“Hey, give some of that credit to Julio.” He does a little number, twirling around to show off hissuit.
I start to cover my crotch when I hear, “Damn, daddy!” beside me. I turn to see a twink who’s already caught a glance of the hard-on Jesse’sstirred.
“Hot damn,” Jesse says, laughing. “This suit really is doing a number onyou.”
“You’re doing the number on me, but the speedo doesn’thurt.”
He glances at my crotch. “Looks kind of cramped in there. You sure it doesn’t hurt?” He winks, and I grunt in this sort of primal way he’sevoked.
“One rum and Coke,” a voice says beside us, and I turn to see Ty handing me a drink. “And one vodka Sprite.” He hands Jessehis.
We enjoy our drinks, then make our way over to the area near the DJ booth, where most of the guys seem to be dancing. It’s pretty packed, and it’s a little unnerving for me, but I push through since I can tell Ty and Jesse are enjoying themselves. Ty’s pretty popular with the guys and friendly to the point that I’m proud I have such an accepting son. He doesn’t bat an eye or seem bothered by their advances, and Jesse…well, I think the looks I’m giving the guys who approach him have been more than enough to keep any trouble atbay.
“How’s my number-one guy?” I hear behind me, the familiar voice setting me at ease. I turn around to find Liam standingthere.
“Liam McKinney, Liam fucking McKinney,” I say, offering him a warm hug. There aren’t many people I can hug like that, but Liam’s definitely one of the few I can share that with, along with my pals in the BastardMotherfuckers.
As he pulls away, he redirects his attention to Ty and Jesse. “Now give me a second. You have to be Ty, because I’ve seen pictures of you, and you’ve got those Westright eyes. And you must be Jesse. A lot hotter than Eric made you out to be. He definitely undersoldyou.”
“Oh, was he underselling me?” Jesse says, clearly playingalong.
“Great, so you guys are gonna gang up on menow.”
“Unless Jesse would prefer we gang up on him,” Liamoffers.
Jesse enjoys the innuendo, but it makes me a littletense.
“We don’t play that way, Liam,” Isay.
“Oh, come on. Don’t spoil my opportunity to make Jesse all uncomfortable. Here I was hoping to tell him all sorts of stories about that salacious past of ours that never happened.” He sighs. “Ah, well. Guess I’ll have to come up with newlies.”
“Oh, I like this guy,” Ty says, which is good news because any man who can get past Liam’s sense of humor stands a better chance of getting along withhim.
