Con and War kept looking ahead, gossiping to each other about what they thought they would see. Fame's eyes bounced around, trying to be ready with his jaw set and clenched hands. Death was biting his lips, and when I looked down, I noticed him tapping his leg. Was he… nervous? What did he not want us to see? I could feel my heart pumping in excitement.

I went in first and waved at them to follow. As we entered the circle, the land shimmered and changed into an office that looked like mine but was bigger and had more offices. We were in a hallway, but I could see the rooms had windows and we were higher up in the building. I took a deep breath and walked though, making sure that I didn’t get caught up in the illusion as I saw a collection of people hovering at an office.

Curiosity got the best of me, and I peeked into the office and saw Samuel in a high back red chair, one that looked just like the new one I had purchased before all of this happened. Samuel was telling everyone what to do and how to do it. I could feel my blood rising, but what really threw me for a loop and made my mouth fall open was Cass right next to him, looking at him lovingly with her chart in hand.

I felt a hand land on my shoulder as a humored voice snapped me out of my anger haze.

“He ain’t nothing, baby.” That smug deep voice was from the last person I expected to help me at the moment. I looked over my shoulder to see Death’s pompous and prideful smile. It made me want to smack it off his stupid face.

“I guess even the Queen of Hell can get envious sometimes.” His mocking voice grated on my nerves, but I couldn't deny that he’d pulled me out of the illusion. A stupid illusion that it was, because I was so worried about what was going on up top with my company that I let that worry bleed out of me. I stuffed that worry down as quickly as I could, making sure that as soon as I got to the house and had a moment to myself that I would be contacting Cass to start prodigal zero.

I looked back up at Death. His teasing of me irritated me, made me feel vulnerable when I didn’t want to, and I quickly came up with a plan to get him back without starting a fight. I stepped up into his face, teasing him with how close we were as I made my voice low and husky.

“You're right, but what is Death envious of?” His forehead pinched in thought and I moved to the side, making it so he was facing the illusion in front of us.

As the air started to change and colors rippled before his eyes, his cocky voice came out smooth. “Baby, there's nothing—”

He stopped short when the illusion slowly cleared, and we could make out four figures. One figure was crowded between the three others. Soon you could see that the middle figure was me and the three others were his brothers. As the illusion became clearer you could see they were touching and kissing me all over my body, showing me just how it would feel to be loved by all of them at once.

I watched with rabid attention, my breathing coming out hot and fast as I licked my lips. I watched as the Con lookalike started to trail kisses down my neck, then my shoulder, and all the way down my arm like Morticia and Gomez from the Addams family.

Fake-Fame was on my other side, nibbling on my ear as he moved to devour my mouth, gripping my neck tightly as he tipped my head back, giving me the kiss of a lifetime. The moan that broke from my throat was filled with a torturous pleasure filled sound, making anyone that was within a five foot radius feel it to their core.

My body started to shake with need at the porn like illusion in front of me as I watched fake-War and bit my lip. He started off kissing the tops of my breasts, paying them a lot of attention as he cupped and nipped at them. Fake-Lillian started to make some low breathy moans and fake-War decided to unbutton her pants and make his way down the valley of her breasts as he got her leather pants off. He pulled her panties off with his teeth before he buried his face into her pussy, making her cry out his name in ecstasy.

Holy fuck, that was so hot that I started to get wet for real. I was about to poke fun at Death, telling him he was a dirty fucker until I saw his face. He was watching with fervent attention as his brothers consumed me, making me scream in pleasure, but then I noticed he wasn't a part of it. Instead of razzing him I turned back and looked at the scene with different eyes, noticing that everything that was happening to the fake me was with their lips. They were kissing me and fucking me with their mouths, not taking it any step further.

I thought back to when I’d kissed him at the casino, how he’d reacted afterwards, how he’d thought he would hurt me. I remembered the fear, despair and longing that shined at me, and I realized what was going on in his head. I looked back at him now. His hands were down his sides, stretched out wide like he was trying to grab something with his hands, but it kept slipping out of his grasp. His lips parted as he slowly panted, his eyes lit up with desire, but behind them there was a soul-crushing fear that prevented him from moving forward, from joining his brothers. Always an outcast.

I’d had enough, so I came up behind him and pushed out some of my Greed magic, careful to shove down my Envy magic that desperately wanted to come out, to help me float a few inches up so that my lips could greedily touch his ears without making him bend down.

“You know, kissing you is just as pleasurable, blue eyes.”

His whole body shuddered as he turned away from the porno scene.

His eyes were filled with disbelief, searching mine for the truth, so I gave it to him. I let him see how much I wanted him. I let my gaze fall to his lips and I licked mine, thinking I could go for a round two.

He smiled a genuine smile and opened his mouth to say something when we heard Con call out, “Lils! D! Where are you?”

With the moment past, I set myself back down but kept my eyes on Death. It felt like something had happened between us. It wasn’t like an insta-love or anything, but it was more like an understanding. A kinship.

Con, War, and Fame showed up. War looked ragged, and Con’s eyes were narrowed on him in anger. Fame was looking around like this was all boring now that he knew it was fake.

Before I could ask what had happened, War barreled into me, giving me a big hug as he smelled my neck and hair, soaking me all in. I looked to Fame, who shrugged and pointed to Con.

“We got caught up in an illusion. Some demon was hurting you, and War just went berserker and started to go after him. It took me a while to convince him that it was just an illusion.” He blew out a breath of exhaustion as he rubbed the back of his neck. Maybe that illusion had affected him more than he wanted to admit.

I patted War on his incredibly muscular back—Holy fuck it was muscular!—telling him that I was fine, I was here, and everything was okay. After he settled, he lifted his head and rested his forehead against mine.

“I will always fight for you, little goddess. Fake or real, makes no difference to me.”

His words were so sweet that I kissed his lips lightly, forgetting in that moment that I was mad at him as I eased his fears. He immediately moaned as he sunk into my kiss, chasing my lips to go deeper. Before it went any further, I broke it off. He tried to grab me to keep me still, but I was a slippery one and I escaped underneath his tree trunk arms.

I looked at Fame to get my mind off the delicious kiss. “What about you?”

He dismissed my concern. “You warned us. Apparently, I am the only one who took the warning seriously. It's all fake, so what is there to worry about?” His matter-of-fact tone made me smile. At least one of us had a decent head on their shoulders.

Bel decided that was the perfect time to reveal his white-haired ass. He slowly clapped his way over to us, winking at me like I was a naughty girl.
