He started to nod profusely and, with shaky hands, went to grab the binder off my desk. He went slow, like I was a rabid dog that would turn on him at any moment, but as soon as he was within an inch, he snatched the binder and ran for his life.

As soon as his hand grasped my doorknob, I called, “Wait!”

He paused, turned around slowly with a face stuck with sheer fear. Damn, I must have done a number on this guy. I took a deep breath, cooling my anger as I calmly spoke.

“Just tell them thank you for their diligent work and that I look forward to seeing them Thursday. Okay?”

He nodded like a bobble head and jetted out of the office like his ass was on fire. I hoped he didn't get the two messages mixed up. One made me look like a raging maniac and the other a smart businesswoman. Either would do, but I would prefer the businesswoman.

“Now that you have fully terrorized the courier, I have a car waiting for you downstairs to take you to Vex.” Cassandra chastised me like a naughty child, and I beamed at her. Only she could make me feel like a child when I'm throwing a level ten fit.

“I also took the liberty of picking an outfit for you tonight.” She lifted a garment bag while I lifted my eyebrow in her direction.

Her idea of an outfit and my idea of an outfit were way off from each other. If I had a business meeting or an important event, of course I dressed the part, but it was always going to be skin tight and showing off my hourglass figure. Plus, I loved my boobs. Showing them off was one of my top five favorite things to do.

Cass, on the other hand, liked more… conservative clothing. She once told me that she didn’t want to look like a porn star with her tits all out, and when I’d asked why, she’d said, “Because I want people to see my brain and heart, not my body.”

It was a fair answer, but my response to that had been: “And I want people to see my body and nothing else. Win-Win!”

It was almost like she was remembering that conversation too, because she rolled her eyes and draped the garment bag onto the seat across from my desk.

“Trust me, it'syourstyle of dress and shoes. I know who my boss is,” she said tartly, then turned and sashayed her way to the door. Trust me to pick out the secretly sassy human of the bunch.Go figure.

I shrugged my shoulders and opened the door to the left of my office, which was a full bathroom with toilet, sink, cabinets, and a deluxe rain shower. Once I had felt one in a hotel in Santorini, I knew I had to have my own. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I wanted that experience for the rest of my existence. I have only been to Heaven once, but I envisioned rain showers in every angel’s living quarters.

I stripped off my clothes and got in. The water was at the perfect temperature, and I started to soap myself down. I wondered who would be there tonight. It was a Tuesday, so it would be the business crowd.

I went through a list in my head of the locals I was sure to see, making little checks beside those I might want to fuck. If the Serpentine twins, snake demons, were around, I wouldn't mind taking them for a spin around the bedroom. They were nice because you get two for the price of one, and they always liked to double team, which was my favorite sport. Also, if Mono, a nightmare demon, was in tonight, I wouldn't mind climbing up that tall giant of a male. Plus, his dick matched his shoe size, and I would definitely go for some big dick that could break me after yesterday's disappointments.

The only one I didn't want to see was Oferneth, the demon of debauchery. You would think that was the first demon I would want to hook up with, but no, his taste was just off, and I didn't like the type of fun he liked to have. He had a sick, twisted view of the world that always seemed to bring me down, and that was exactly what I was trying to escape when I left Hell. Responsibilities, life-altering decisions, and depression were a no no for this little lady.

Once I had a game plan, I turned off the shower and dried myself off. Remembering that I had a driver waiting, I smiled and took my time. Maybe he would get mad and I could feed off him on the way. Just a light snack for the road.

I wrapped myself up in my towel and went into my office for the outfit. I zipped open the garment bag and smiled. It was this stunning little black dress that had cutouts on the side, framing my breasts with ultra-sheer fabric over them, giving the illusion of clothes while still showing it all off, partnered with a hem line that stopped at my thighs, which made it a hair shy of being appropriate.

Cassandra had left me a red lacy thong and that cool new plunging front wire bra we’d seen on social media that we knew I needed, because I liked to keep my large girls perky and plump when I wore my revealing clothing. It was nice not to have a bra strap showing to ruin the outfit. At the bottom of the bag were some thigh high black heels that went perfectly with the dress. I was set to kill tonight.

I put it all on, heading into the bathroom to do my hair. I put large curlers in and then blow dried it so that the big curls stayed, framing my face with my long hair. There was only so much you could do with long hair; it was either put it up in a bun, ponytail or put in all the work to have it down and stunning. There was no in-between. I put on a few makeup essentials: golden eye shadow, eyeliner, and stained ruby red lip gloss. Then I was ready to go.

I clicked my way down the marble hallway and through the modern, simplistic lobby to see the driver waiting for me. He kept glancing at his watch and grumbling under his breath as he looked at the meter he’d already started. The pinched look, partnered with his deep frown, spoke volumes about how angry he was. Perfect.

As I slowly walked to the back passenger side door, I knocked, opened it, and slid right in. He looked back at me, lips pursed and eyebrows furrowed.

“Do you know how long I was waiting here for you, miss?”

I could feel his anger reverberating inside the car, swirling around above me, but it still wasn't enough. I just needed him to be a little angrier, but also not too much to kick me out of the car. I turned on my girlish charm, batted my eyelashes, and looked up at him in question.

“Oh, have you been waiting long? I chipped my nail on the door and needed it fixed ASAP before I went out tonight. I had to wait for the nail tech to show up. But you kept the meter running, right?”

His fingers tightened on the wheel so tightly his knuckles turned white. He faced forward and let out a big breath. The anger in the car simmered, expanding as it started reaching down towards my body, seeking a place to go. I smiled as I looked up and curled my fingers around the tendrils of magic, letting it know I was here and willing to soak it all up. It snaked down my arm, the energy finding every scrap of skin it could find before letting itself be consumed. I could taste the frustration and anger this man had. It tasted spicy and smooth, having the texture of chocolate covered chilis. The spice settled in my stomach, causing a small burst of heat before calming down.

It was a tasty palate cleanser for the appetizer, main course, and dessert I would be having tonight. I rested back against my seat for the duration of the car ride, watching the city pass around me. When we finally got to the skyrise where Vex was located, I felt his anger cool—ready to get rid of me, I was sure.

I knew Cass had given him my card before this ride even started, but he had given me a little something extra, so I took out a hundred-dollar bill and patted his back.

“Here’s for all your trouble.”

He looked at the hundred, eyes wide. He glanced at me, then fixed his eyes back to the bill like I was playing a joke on him. I nodded for him to take it, smiling as his hesitant fingers curled around the money like it was precious.
